Alteryx is making great strides towards user experience
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx is really dedicating time, effort, and care into their user experience. I am very impressed by the strides they're taking, and the amount they listen to the user base.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it is a bit overpriced, if I'm being transparent. I'd love to see the tool be more accessible to your every-day user and not just corporations who can super-afford it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx really helps take our data and organize it.

Hours and hours of saved time
What do you like best about the product?
What I love about alteryx is the ability to solve really complex problems with easily repeatable workflows. Not only does it save our company tremendous amounts of time, it is easy for new team members to pick up where previous team members left off and document standard work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike about Alteryx other than more connectors for share point / SAP. Outside of that there is a slight learning curve but once you get over that it's amazing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx is solving many problems for our business from pulling data from difficult to access databases to data prep and blending that would typically take hours and would be almost impossible to recreate by hand.

ability to automate routine processes has saved us tons of time and gained efficiencies

the upsell of the additional tools, I wish they were included in the regular license

The community can help you figure out how to do anything you need on the platform.

You have to pay for the additional toolkits.

It allows users with limited data science experience to get started quickly.
Alteryx has done what would take hours to do in Python in minutes and is a timesaver.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which to get things done. All you need to do is drag and drop the tools you wish to use on the canvas, and you're good to go.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dragging specific tools on the canvas can cause lag. Regarding the spatial tools, the reprojection of the spatial objects doesn't work which should be built in.

Bringing in and merging data from different data sources and doing data analysis. Performing spatial operations to help answer questions for the company.
Alteryx has allowed me to become an advanced data engineer and analyst without knowing any code

The software is adaptable to all skill levels. People can be onboarded very easily and the sky is the limit with how far you can take it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AMP engine doesn't live up to expectations. While it runs your workflow fast, it generates incorrect answers, defeating the purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company uses Alteryx to perform ETL processes and schedule necessary data processing. It's incredibly fast to run and fast to spin up a solution.

Sometimes it is hard to know what exactly caused an error.

It saves time and takes fewer steps to complete analytics. I will be able to assign teams to more activities.

It takes some time to learn. Professional help is very good but costly.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn and use. No need to have a coding background. If you can navigate a computer, you likely can build a workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the biggest downside is convincing people the benefits outway the cost.

We use the software as a force multiplier. We can have fewer people work on the data, allowing more time to analyze and make recommendations to key stakeholders.
