Data Prep, Blending, Automation -- Oh My!
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx has such a wide array of tools and functionality that makes it a tool anyone could benefit from learning and utilizing in their role. The community that uses Alteryx is one of the most collaborative and helpful I've worked with. The forums have helped me with some problems I run into within minutes. The training guides for the credentials have taught me tools I didn't think would even be that helpful for my role but have become huge to use in my workflows and improve functionality and processing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Alteryx Server could use a little bit of a facelift. While most of my day-to-day involves Alteryx Desktop, sometimes the errors thrown when a workflow fails on Server can be incredibly vague and result in significant time troubleshooting to find out what it actually meant. I have heard though that this is on the books to be resolved in the near future, fingers crossed!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx is making data prep, analytics, and automation a skill that all folks can have, regardless of their experience in coding or programming. I think this is vital for the evolving workforce. Not everyone used to have to know Microsoft Excel, but now it is basically a requirement regardless of your role. I think an understanding of data analytics and/or prep will become one of those bare minimum skills required and Alteryx is helping us all get there.

Excellent for creating macros and data cleansing
What do you like best about the product?
I like that is easy to use, and supports multiple data sources. You can integrate excel, tableau etc into a single workbook.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit tough to understand some tools initially as it has a huge varity of tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me analyse huge data sets using an easy drag and drop interface. It is very powerful for data cleansing and the macros created are reusable and insightful.

Alteryx allows me to work with any data, anywhere in any shape and wrangle and prepare for analysis
Powerful with wide variety of tools!
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to build workflows and backtrack and modify without starting from scratch. Powerful tools and wide variety of analytical methods. Good help resources. Free certification paths.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times it's not very intuitive. Only available on Windows.

Ability to easily replicate workflows in efficient ways.
Helps do what excel can't
What do you like best about the product?
Very useful in case of large datasets - excel would usually hang in case of large datasets. Useful in case the data processing is repeatable in nature - once the logic is set it's very scalable and efficient
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very useful in case of more minor data manipulations - excel is better suited for such cases. Given most users are more used to data manipulations in excel, it takes some time to get accustomed to tools available in Alteryx - but I guess that is an initial one-time investment

Creating workflows for data transformations that are repeatable - it is a one-time investment on the workflow, and then Alteryx can repeatedly handle super heavy data and its modifications with ease

What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx excels in ubiquitous connectivity to data sources and pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting capabilities can definitely be improved. I would also like to see more robust security controls and measures.

What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is too costly for any individual, while many tools in the market can be used as an alternative to the device and are very cheap. This is the reason people do not use Alteryx as much

The main problem i was facing was i do not have a deep information about Syntex but i like to derive the data insights

What do you like best about the product?
The community, easy-to-use interface, low/no code requirements, processing speed, ability to handle a variety of data sources, and wide applicability across our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Good things do not come cheap! You may see some benefit with a few licenses but the actual return is when you fully commit. This is an excellent problem for Alteryx, but certainly, something to keep in mind.

Alteryx solves our ability to handle voluminous, disparate data sources and blend the information to generate usable data to gain actionable insight. It impacts our analysts quality of life.
Acccurate & Saves Time
What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of using alteryx is that it allows you to automate some time-consuming tasks, producing accurate data. Having this time back allows one to spend more time analyzing the data and doing something with the insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing about alteryx that I dislike. It truly provides me with all the features I need and I am still growing and learning what the tool has to offer for my everyday tasks

It is helping me move away for excel and giving me time to do more in-depth analysis
Great code-free solution that's supporting our ability to work smarter
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx has a user-intuitive interface that's easy/quick to learn (but supports complex data processes). Alteryx has not only provided the ability for us to automate extremely complex data processes but is also enabling us to derive much greater insights from our data while minimizing the amount of manual workload associated with cleaning/scrubbing data. The ability to "rinse and repeat" complex data processes is saving us immeasurable amounts of time and supporting our ability to focus on higher-value work. Finally, support for the product is extremely strong (both via Alteryx as well as via other Alteryx users (through community forums, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently a limited number of individuals utilizing Alteryx within our organization. As a result, sharing of best practices, tips & tricks, etc. is currently more limited - I anticipate this to change in the near future however as word continues to get out about Alteryx
