Alteryx has cut down my manual work by over 80%
What do you like best about the product?
I used to use Excel for all my data analytics and reporting, repeating the same data cleanses and pivots every day. With Alteryx, I can build that process once, drop my data in, click run and I am done. This has cut down my report turnaround times by over 80%, allowing me to spend more time on tasks that matter.
What do you dislike about the product?
At my company, we are not allowed direct database access with Alteryx. I would love it if Alteryx allowed a feature to connect to Tableau Server, so I could pull data directly through the connection instead of pulling down data from Tableau Server and then uploading the csv to Alteryx.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx has cut down report turn around times tremendously through automating data preparation. Additionally, I have been able to use Alteryx along with Sharepoint to create Sharepoint lists teams can complete their work in, and then push that work into Alteryx's email tool to automatically send emails out.

Alteryx is the most user friendly automation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx is very user friendly because of its workflow, canvas, and drag-drop tools experience. The best thing about it, is that it makes it very easy to teach and learn the tool. Other automation tools, mostly coding ones, are always written codes, while with alteryx you can get to the same desired automation in a more simpler way.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started using Alteryx, one of my main complaints was that I couldn't open XLS and XLSB files, it would be good if any files could be used easily. Also, the idea that I can't run the workflow with the input file open is not the best, because sometimes is good to run the workflow with the archive open to compare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx is helping to reduce countless hours of manual work, also reducing risks. The way I usually build my workflows is with Analytic Apps, because this way I never need to open the workflow to change my input and outpout files, which makes the process of using Alteryx very smooth and dynamic.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Alteryx for a while now and I must say it has been a game-changer for me. The platform is well-designed and easy to use, and it has helped me streamline my workflows and save a ot of time. I appreciate how Alteryx can be customized to fit my specific needs, and I have been able to createare tailored to my work. One thing that I find useful about Alteryx is its ability ti handle large datasets. Alteryz has made it easy for me to process and analyze data quickly and efficiently. I also appreciate the platform's ability to automate repetitive tasks, which has allowed me to focus on more strategic work. Overall, I highly recommend Alteryx to anyone who works with data on a regular basis. The platform is powerful, flexiblem and easy to use, and it has helped me become more productive and efficient in my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I had a positive experience using Alteryx, there are 2 things I thing could be improved. One: the learning curve can be steep, especially for someone that is not familiar with data analytics or programming. Two: I experienced some performance issues when working with large datasets (latency or lagging issue). It was a mld issue, but if it could be fixed that would make the user experience even better.

Alteryx helps me working with data, utilizing customized workflows. It also helped me automating repetitive tasks, therefore saving time.
A Powerful Data Tool For Every Business, IF you can keep up with the Frustration
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to learn and use. All the tools are logically laid out and the workflows are easy to read/audit. The tool genuinely makes automation and data wrangling very easy and also simplifies hiring talent
What do you dislike about the product?
It's slow to work on. VERY SLOW to a point where it's frustrating to just deal with the tool. That's a major concern.
Another major issue - I don't actually trust the product. The tools some times just don't work as intended. For e.g. - Block Until Done tool never works. If you have something that doesn't work as expected, just remove it from the product. Having such faulty tools only lower the developer confidence.
And the new AMP engine is a mystery. I don't trust it.

We are using Alteryx in both wrangling and automation. Alteryx ability to integrate with Tableau makes our report generation a breeze.
You market Alteryx as a Big Data Analytics product, but I don't think Alteryx can effectively support Big Data. I see it more like an end-user automation product, which it does extremely well. I think you should stick to marketing the good areas of the product rather than frustrating people because you market it as Big Data product.

Alteryx in Internal Audit
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx is very user friendly even for those without background in data analysis, and the example page for each tool demonstrating various levels of complexity that the tool can be used is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The saving feature could be improved as both myself and coworkers have had issues where we thought we saved a workflow before closing out of Alteryx but cannot find the document when we go back to Alteryx. Additionally, we were not able to recover an unsaved version so we ended up having to redo the entire workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx helps make it more efficient to analyze large datasets, and its anotation features and visual workflow makes it easier for a reviewer to understand the work I performed.
Alteryx as a Data Analyst
What do you like best about the product?
In my position, we always struggled comparing datasets between different sources, whether it was a different database server or it was a flat file like excel. With Alteryx, it is easy, efficient and quickly replicatable to use and compare data, easy to add changes on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the toughest changes that I've come across using Alteryx is the minute differences in the formula language against standard SQL. Some of the inputs are just barely different and it throws me off for a second.

Alteryx makes data preparation quick, easy and simple with new changes easily implemented. This was a big selling point versus other softwares.

The wide range of tools (user interface tools, macros, etc.), its ability to cache data, and a high performace interface that allows for quick workflow creation

I am currently using Alteryx version 2021.4. In my opinion, the "filter" and "sort" options on the Results pane have been added unnecessary clicks and have become finicky to use

One of my main responsibilities is to automate manual reporting processes (i.e. Excel based). Alteryx not only achieves this plus full automation via the Alteryx Gallery, but it also enables to create analysis and metrics that would not be possible otherwise

I enjoy the ease of use with the tools included in Alteryx, and I think that it makes data analysis much more streamlined. It allows people to leverage tools even if they have minimal or no experience with coding.

I think that overall the automation aspect can be improved, along with more options for some tools (such as email, simple ordering of when to run containers, etc).

In Tech Finance industry Alteryx helps to minimise the processing time and helps to get ready available data for insights and descision making.
Very helpful in handling large data sets that will take much longer with other applications

Could be a bit confusing at times with so many tools
