What do you like best about the product?
GitLab is a full-fledged DevOps platform that integrates development, operations, and security teams into a single app. GitLab enables teams to reduce development expenses and security concerns while lowering software delivery time from weeks to minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform appears to be little pricey for the purchase of high-end features. Despite the fact that the platform is updated on a regular basis, each update appears to change the general UI, making it more difficult for the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its ability to interface with other third-party applications is its most significant feature, and it also allows you to rapidly and simply design a functional ecology utilising its customization choices. My favourite feature is that it lets our teams to create private projects for private repositories with limited access. Its robust capabilities streamline my application development, from managing my code repository to interacting with coworkers, and all work can be completed in minutes. GitLab has assisted teams in lowering cycle time and improving productivity, which has resulted in enhanced value for our customers. GitLab is a terrific agile planning platform that has not only helped us complete huge projects in less time, but has also allowed us to save money by automating the majority of the complicated operations, removing the need to engage specialists.

Store project Versions with Gitlab
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to save all versions of the project you are working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a little complicated for beginners. Can modify it a bit for better and easy understanding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A team can easily jump from one version to any previous version if required. Its beneficial in case of any production failure.

We can combine and attach the software having the ability to develop securely in a single place with less confusion and more effectiveness with added benefits like saving time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Merge request is quite difficult compared to other operations may be better if they figure it out and improve and trace path activity changes. and Authorization is not uplevel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy to handle difficult things like code versioning with milestones and issue management and integrations are the best part of GitLab services with DevOps features

I think by using gitlab it's easy to go back and forth in the code, it's easy to maintain the code, multiple developer can work on the same code at same time

There is nothing to dislike it's easy to use

I used it in maintaining the code of my company's project I also used it in my personal project.
Best Open Source Version Control Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab is the best open source version control tool with all in one platform to manage the project. It allows multiple developers to work on simultaneously in a single project with simple merge and deploy to production.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using GitLap CI for past 2 years and haven't found anything much.
I feel like what we pay for premium and what we get is not upto the mark. GuI can be improved for beginners.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Team of Developers use GitLap for One stop source and version management tool with different branches for each phase. Lets the developer know if any conflicts while merging branches and code. Easy to run pipelines with simple steps and merge the code and deploy. One of the best and must tool for an organization or startup and also for personal projects.

It is DevOps software that provides the ability to develop and operate software in an application.
I found GitLab to be the best tool for source code, as it serves my purpose on many occasions.
Some more features I found include wikis and bug tracking.
Also, GitLab provides detailed information on how to move the projects across platforms.
The last best thing to love about GitLab is they have unlimited public and private repositories whereas their counterparts offer only public repositories.

What do you dislike about the product?
A few times the build fails after a few delays. The error message is displayed very late and not initially.
Navigating is somewhat difficult because the menus in GitLab are confusing.
In case there is some issue with GitLab we have to restart the server again or else the issue remains the same.

I've exported projects from GitLab to other platforms and it's a cool feature.
The reporting function is very helpful and gives a better understanding of the function.
Can easily integrate it with a third-party app like Slack which is indeed an effective feature.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
When it comes to Projects they have less compared to Counterparts.
But it has many features and has been good DevOps software and source control application I've used.
I suggest the devs go into GitLab as it's the best tool available out there.

GitLab is a complete suite that allows you to manage, administer, create and connect repositories with different applications and do all kinds of integrations with them, offering an environment and a platform in which you can carry out the various stages of your SDLC/ADLC and DevOps.

I usually use GitLab as my Application Repository with ServiceNow platform. Especially if you are starting on Servicenow application development, GitLab provides an easier way to integrate than Github

What do you like best about the product?
It saves a lot of time for developers once we set up GitLab CI/CD automatic deployment happens. It provides good issue tracking experience, and GitLab provides many integrations with 3rd party applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be improved, pricing can be quite high for small-size startups, and UI feels quite slow.

I used GitLab for hosting and auto build and deployment using GitLab ci/cd.

CI/CD , Devops Usage ,job creation, support, Servers, Latency.

Complex Setup for CI/CD and Authentication process. Sometimes servers goes down.

I am working with AI based DevOps Solutions. The Faster response, easy to use commands, documentation.
