What do you like best about the product?
GitLab VCS provides CI/CD pipeline and it is useful for us as a developer as well as it provides a free limited plan. it also helps us to step into GitLab. beginners would help this so much.
What do you dislike about the product?
If GitLab provides a free plan but when it comes to production-level application needs pro level subscription. it seems the pro subscription price is somewhat high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most valuable one is as a developer we could host our source code and we can make Groups. We built a Devops environment using GitLab under the free plan. which was help us to make entry level applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One of the best alternative for Github and Bitbucket.
it has Devops suppport.
Gitlab provides free plan which is easy to step into Gitlab and you can get experience.
My opinion is every developer should try it.

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab has a lot of options available to developers. I especially love how they handled the CI/CD pipelines. Very easy to set up and use, good speed, pretty stable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of integration with the AWS CodePipeline is the pain point when working with GitLab. As someone who works a lot with AWS, this would be very beneficial for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Code versioning, testing, CI/CD, task tracking work great in GitLab. This means that I don't have to use multiple products to achieve all of these operations which saves a lot of time.

What do you like best about the product?
Gutlab allows to create repositories public and private. We can manage projects with teams of developers. Gitlab also allows us to create CI/CD integration with most of all the services.
You can run pipelines for repositories. Setup run time environment variables for the pipelines
What do you dislike about the product?
Earlier it is not available for free but now it's available for individual developer. Compare to GitHub and bitbucket it is costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used this in my previous company. Role and permission is awesome in gitlab. We can manage developer and other users profiles.

Also very useful to merge request reviews.

Amazing tool for developer

  • December 06, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab is a fantastic tool that fundamentally changes how Development, Security, and Ops teams collaborate and build software.
GitLab helps our team improve our productivity, and it's very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is excellent and very well built. Therefore, there is nothing that I currently dislike about it. However, a little bit of upgrade to the UI to make it more modern could be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab helps us maintain our tasks and run CI/CD very easily. We can just create a yml file and upload it to the project folder to create the pipelines. It saves us a lot of time compared to other platforms.
