Strong stable platform
What do you like best about the product?
Good support, good help in setup and configuration
What do you dislike about the product?
No specific downsides to the platform that we have to come across, yes it is a paying platform which is a higher cost than hosting this yourself, but the experience and expertise that their team has saves a lot of maintenance cost as well as a steep learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall cloud based SOLR that is saving us the efforts of setting up and managing this ourselves

They took the pain out of setting up all the resources and made the connectivity really easy. They have always been responsive to support requests and been able to resolve issues quickly

The only downside was the difference in timezones but they were able to accommodate a time we could all meet

What do you like best about the product?
In our previous Sitecore Implementations we used VMs to host and manage our Solr servers. We spent so much time troubleshooting and maintaining the infrastructure. In a recent upgrade we decided to use SearchStax and it was a game changer. We've been live for almost a year now. 0 downtime, 0 issues and much improved performance.
Searchstax allowed us to focus on building our Search Features without worrying about infrastructure or Hosting. Solr as a Service is handsdown the best option when it comes to Sitecore Implementations.

Nothing. Everything was great. The product, the support, documentation. Ease of Integration...

It provides Solr as a Service, and takes out the burden of Managing and maintaining your Solr Infrastructure, allowing you to focus on building the best Digital Experience for your users.

SearchStax is one of our best partners and we have been working with them for many years. We use a hosted Solr and zookeeper to provide our DXP customers with search.
The service is very reliable and in the long time we have also faced some significant difficulties, which we have always been able to resolve quickly and reliably.
The colleagues from SearchStax are almost like colleagues in our own company, as the cooperation is very trustful.

What do you dislike about the product?
From my point of view, there is nothing to mention. Of course, nobody is perfect, but it's how you behave when a problem occurs and based on the past, we were well prepared with this partnership.

Communication for support tickets is done through email which can make it difficult to share with the team or get them involved.

Previous provider for managed Solr platform was unstable and had occasional downtime which in turn would affect the website. SearchStax offers the stability and reliability we needed to ensure consistent uptime of the website regardless of the traffic spikes.

I am using searchstax already many year and for multiple products. We never had huge issues. It is easy to setup/integrate and has many customization and fine tuning capabilities

I would say the price is its biggest drawback. It could be cheaper or have a more granular pricing model

Simple UI, clean & clear API documentation, easy-to-use dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of configuration options within Site Search javascript frameworks. It would be nice if the widgets could be extended to power search-based components other than site search. We have to create 100% custom components to achieve this.

What do you like best about the product?

Initially, we managed our search infrastructure on-premise, which was very challenging due to both issues and a lack of internal expertise. However, since switching to SearchStax, whenever we've encountered a problem or opened a support ticket, their team has been incredibly responsive and provided the assistance we needed. The uptime of their service has also been outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides. The only feedback we have is for SearchStax to support the latest versions of Sitecore more promptly upon their immediate release.
