Azure Engineer using SearchStax
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy not needing to directly manage a solr cluster. They can be a bit tedious to setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I like the program. One thing I do find a little difficult is price quoting. It always seems to take longer than I think it will.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solr cluster setup mostly. We spin them up often and not managing the servers is a great benefit.
Great Platform with Lots of Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax is proving to be a great search platform and allows for customization on how to set up rankings and returned results. We havent had the chance to full dive in on all of the settings yet, but initial results look strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
Set up was difficult, but I believe this was mostly due to knowledge gaps on our developer side. SearchStax staff was great at handholding and getting our set up configured correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SearchStax is allowing us to fully customize our search experience and better tailor results for the user. It is also providing us full analytics to help optimize content on our site.
Reliable Managed Search Solution!!
What do you like best about the product?
Searchstax has simplified the search solution for our ecommerce website. comparing it to our previouse inhouse hosted Solr solution, the difference is day & nights. as after the intial setup, the ongoing maintenance/ monitoring has gone to essentially negligible.
What do you dislike about the product?
so far no downside observed! as the solutiopn works as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we had on premise search solution, which required ongoing maintennace and was found to be unstable. a lot of hours were being put in for issue resolution. after replacing with SearchStax we no longer have those problems.
Decent search option for Sitecore
What do you like best about the product?
Nice UX and filter options, ability to bring up relevant keywords
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes will throw a public-facing error for certain kewords, which meant having to dedicate time with support team to troubleshoot.

SearchStax eliminates the need for us to manage a VM, handle Apache Solr installation, or worry about updates and ongoing maintenance. What do you like best about the product?
It is much more flexible compared to other products in market. Easy to setup and use. Good customer support. Easy to integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every product has some limitation and when you encountered it, support team needs to accept it with open arms but that wasn't the case when we faced such situation. Else there is nothing to dislike about product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using SearchStax so they'll manage the solr instead of us. To keep it up to date witch security patching is bit difficult to individuals so good to have reliable partner.

Innovative and flexible and if standard offer that works fine. I think that your core Solr product is fine and the service and support is excellent.

But when customization needed, we faild to impement.Struggled to implement the Sitecore connections to your tailormade solutions. We struggled many months.

Strong stable platform
What do you like best about the product?
Good support, good help in setup and configuration
What do you dislike about the product?
No specific downsides to the platform that we have to come across, yes it is a paying platform which is a higher cost than hosting this yourself, but the experience and expertise that their team has saves a lot of maintenance cost as well as a steep learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall cloud based SOLR that is saving us the efforts of setting up and managing this ourselves
