Marketing Templates & Transactional Emails all in one place

What do you like best about the product?
One stop email solution for my product - we don't have to manage a separate marketing database and transactional email service.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Lack of "drip" campaign and retargeting triggers when comparing to marketing automation platforms like Hubspot.
-The UI can be a bit buggy sometimes (button clicks/front end state seem to get out of phase with their backend when toggling settings), but always corrects itself after a browser refresh
-The "Activity Feed" feature suddenly changed from 30 days of logs to only 3 days within our package. This was pretty annoying to have a feature you use regularly suddenly become an upcharge opportunity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a startup that needed both a way to send marketing (one-off) emails to our users as well as in-app triggered transactional emails for things like resetting a password. Sendgrid packages both of these in one easy to use app at an affordable price. The fewer systems to maintain and manage data across the better. We actually migrated from Mailgun since it only does transactional emails (or did at the time).

What do you like best about the product?
Volume capabilities
Dedicated IP set-up
Easy unsubscribe mechanism
What do you dislike about the product?
HTML template builder - it's very clunky
Primarily designed for Enterprise customers - If you're an SMB, you'd be better off using PersistIQ or MixMax
No ability to set-up sequences - You have to manually set up separate email sends for every step of the campaign.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large volume email sends are easily automated
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ideal for transactional emails. Good for one-off marketing emails. Designed for Enterprise users.
Not great for setting up sequences or cold email outreach

What do you like best about the product?
Fast and easy to use for transnational emails. Very rarely any downtime which is important for our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like their support could be better. Live chat often takes a LONG time and their marketing product doesn't quite stack up against some of their competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email automation - moved from custom in house

What do you like best about the product?
SendGrid offers reliable deliverability and is easy to use. When there are issues, which is pretty rare, the support is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes send/receive records are not present in the log, and we once had emails delayed several hours by a bug.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deliverability on emails from our website and internal mobile application.

What do you like best about the product?
SendGrid app is a great tool for any organization for their emailing solution in terms of marketing and transactional emails. SendGrid is very easy in configuration as minimum need for support documents.
you can manage lots of things like white listing of domains and support IDs, email templates, reporting etc. Tech support is always available. there are multiple budgetary plan you can choose according to your requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Improvement is always better than the things running as usual. so reporting system could have been better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have transactional emails which is based on auction platform. in our case the delivery of emails to customer should be immediate so that they can participants in running auction.
more number of participant in a auction resulted better dealing on your products. this is beneficial for our customer's customer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I always recommended to others to use Sengrid.

What do you like best about the product?
It has extra features that some others don't have, like the ability to see the reason why mail providers rejected the email.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to learn. If there is an issue, it won't tell you what you need to do to fix it. It's not very user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to get traffic to the site but isn't as easy to use as other options.

What do you like best about the product?
Sendgrid is very easy to setup, and always work.
Backend tools allows easy access to all relevant reports.
I have been pro-actively approached by them to critique their new functionality and they took my feedback seriously by having direct contact with the product team

They obviously come from a technical angle, and for marketing people it can look a bit daunting

Billing is a mess.
Suspension of legitimate accounts without notice and reason is common place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We required a SMTP provider to send time critical email notifications to subscribers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dont bother, move to another provider to safe yourself a headache.
