SendGrid makes marketing and mass email easy

What do you like best about the product?
It's incredibly easy to implement and use. Also very cost effective platform.

More feature sets, continue to expand the offerings.

Sendgrid gets the job done

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to find bounced and dropped emails, and reasons for them to quickly resolve issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the search facets to be a little confusing - am I searching all activity? Only bounces? I find myself restarting searches often to make sure I'm not searching in the wrong place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage user support for a web application. SendGrid helps me troubleshoot issues - did the users password reset email get sent and is stuck in a spam filter? Is their ISP blocking our domain? I also have a hand in marketing, and knowing which trigger emails get opened by users help us improve our customer engagement.

Dead simple

What do you like best about the product?
SendGrid is as simple or as full-featured as you want it be. I'm just using SendGrid to send transactional emails from my application, and SendGrid made it incredibly easy to send out white labeled emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the activity field had more information - for example, I'd like to see specifically what the body of a delivered message was or which link it was that a user clicked.

Templating could be improved drastically. I wish that there was some sort of CSS inlining feature, like mailchimp has. For example, I wish I could pass in a body message with several classes applied to elements throughout, and SendGrid would then replace that class with the inline styles associated with that class.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was having trouble configuring Postfix on my servers and emails were going to spam. Since I switched over to SendGrid, emails are whitelabeled and users are no longer having issues getting their emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For a really simple quick implementation, just use SMTP. I was able to configure the SMTP settings in 2 of my applications to use SendGrid and it was a very painless process.

Best choice for a complete email interaction tool

What do you like best about the product?
Sendgrid is constantly collecting feedback from its users and improving their core products. I like how flexible their payment tiers are and how versatile their products are. Their customer support is top-notch as well and have a great developer support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the management portal for searching through email logs or going through reporting. They seem to be improving the design of this however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed transactional email, so the ability to send Sendgrid webhooks and have emails fired off for various events or triggers. We also use their inbound parsing functionality and email design templates. All of which have been incredibly useful to our core product experience.

Go for it!

What do you like best about the product?
Well written APIs. It takes about 20 minutes to get up and running.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish their logging had a little more information about outgoing emails, but I understand the security reasons behind why they don't.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending emails is way easier than doing it ourselves

Sending with SendGrid

What do you like best about the product?
Sendgrid has a really nice dashboard and automatic tracking for links, clicks and google analytics. Way better than most competitors out there and I don't need to write some intergration code this.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup takes time. Usually with other mail providers I can instantly start sending emails. Mandrill also has really nice starting tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving customer engagment and employee enggagement. We use a lot of mails to engage our users in our client systems. We employ gamification mechanics and we need to send people the scores and rating on a regular bases and what better way then email. We also use it internally to send our clients emails and updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have enterprise clients and definitely need whitelabel solutions then sendgrid is the best for you.

What do you like best about the product?
Best overall goto service for sending transactional email. It's got every feature you could possibly want.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's got a virtual monopoly on email sending. But feature and pricewise it's hard to beat, unless you have special needs. It's competitors try to find slightly niche features so as not to compete with SendGrid directly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dependable transactional email. It's one of the easiest to setup and also one of the most well documented.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't have niche requirements or need extra tech support SendGrid is your best bet.

What do you like best about the product?
descent rates. comparable pricing. a fair dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting shut down for having a 0.03% spam is something you will NEVER deal with of the other mail providers. I KNOW! We have tested them all; looking for the best rate, but most reliable.
They have a policy of ABOVE 80% reputation as being GOOD!
YET, WE were always above at an 82%, and were shut down because we got tired of jumping through their compliance hoops for over 4 hours! Which we did, and provided all that was asked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ANY reasonable mailer knows the SPAM button can be abused from time to time, and especially if NOT consistent as a high percentage.
Hard bounces- I can see!! But we were at a whopping 1.08% on those!! Don't invest your time in this platform just to be shut down for being ABOVE THEIR 80% reputation!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stay away. MUCH resources are allocated for set up.. why risk.. to be shut down for NO real reason.
