We setup IPsec connections between vyos instance and more than 20 sites.
It is working but from time to time it will randomly drop packet or lose IPSec connection and I have to write a another script to scan, and reset the tunnel and the vpn settings from client router.
Without any evidence, from you, I'd say it's unlikely that the router is "dropping packets" especially as that is the behaviour your'd expect from a congested link (perhaps at the endpoint).
