FEATURE-RICH TOOL
What do you like best about the product?
WSO2 API Manager comes with a wide range of features which helps in API creation, its publishing and documention at the same time. It provides the developer a platform where they and perform and suggest changes in API. The platform is completely customisable where we can perform and use the tool with our own customisation over it. And the best part is it can handle a large number of API processing simaltenously.
What do you dislike about the product?
The deployement process is very hectic, specially who is completely new with this tool. It takes time and effort to get started with tool and start working on it. For support we need to rely upon the its community but also the community is very active and gets assistance within hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the end I would say that WSO2 API Manager is feature-rich platform that helps us in managing APIs for our business with loads of customizations lots of comprehnsive feature such as security and API management. Its just a great help of organisations like us, we are very thankful to this tool.

WSO2 API Manager is a great open-source platform; setup was quick and easy. The API publisher portal and admin console have a reach web UI and easy navigation. We have great control over the API, including the subscriptions of an API, and how clients can access an API.

The documentation lacks details and needs more example scenarios.

Solving security to API. Support to implement fine access control on API via scopes.

Working with WSO2 features have proven daily for me that is the best way of implementing software.
What do you like best about the product?
The APIs portal is how it is today. The way they display the APIS, the subscriptions and how clients can access, and we as administrators, can also control which API the user will be able to use or not
What do you dislike about the product?
Some customizations are challenging, and the documentation does not have enough information to help in the task, so some specific development can be difficult but not impossible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The WSO2 API Manager is solving the API management in the gateway layer. In the same portal, you can access a diversity of APIs, control throttling, provide security etc. The developers don't need to develop those things anymore in their application, making their job easier and worrying only about the business core of the application.

What do you like best about the product?
the architecture integrated with the ESB. I like how things work, the separation of the gateway, control and micro/enterprise integrator layer. The XML code is very well separated from the control interfaces and makes maintenance very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
A big minus point is the ESB coding IDE, "Integration Studio". There are some very annoying bugs that force us to live with them.
The IDE seems abandoned, the "design" system is more of a hindrance than a help, as anyone who is familiar with WSO2 uses editing via XML. They could remove this functionality, or give the option to disable it, as it makes the program much slower.

Easy to manage APIs life's cycle. Secure and stable, we can use with users and secure them about their data.

UI is a little confusing for the first time I logged on, is hard to understand.

Same as the Identity server, It also looks old. Try to update some new UI/UX and Features

A great experience, but the documentation leaves something to be desired on some subjects

I like the malleability of the tool in terms of building apis while maintaining security, along with the possibility of customizing the response and I managed to make a soap api available but in a rest full format
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the documentation, but some settings of the tool don't work correctly, like disable cors, we usually have to figure out how it works or even change the tool's deployment settings to make it work correctly.

As a consultant I solve a lot of problems to centralize the API and adjust its response
