Real time data Virtualization made easier !

  • August 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
For any data virtualization, it is very important to manage resources and save unwanted costs to store required data in warehouses. Tibco data virtualization evaluates the data in real-time instead of storing it at some warehouses and also could be connected to multiple data sources and still make it secure for end-user to create views as per their requirement. It's a lightweight component compared to other data virtualization platforms. The administration and user management are pretty simple and connecting to the traditional database is easier.
What do you dislike?
The user interface is not up to the mark and should be improved in future releases. There should be more analytics options for end-users at this price. Also, the help wiki should be updated with more options and content.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It is indeed a very effective data virtualization platform to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data in real time. Many data connectors are available so it can be connected virtually to any databases, web API, flat files, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If looking for minimization of the data movement process, this could be the best option.

Good on virtualization; Deployments could use some work

  • December 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
Tibco is a great way to quickly set up federated queries across heterogeneous sources.
What do you dislike?
The migration/deployment capabilities are a little funky especially when trying to deploy a particular service within a web service container. We also have difficulties with race conditions when different teams deploy the same object at different deployment intervals. Also, A lot of end users get confused about how to optimize their queries and understanding how to leveraqe the explain plans.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Federating different sources. Quick way to integrate without having to create complex ETL jobs
