What do you like best about the product?
The speaker lounge and interacting with fellow mongonese.

I dislike that fact that the conference is not longer.

What do you like best about the product?
It's amazing how query rich mongodb is. It's a breeze to both persist and access data. I also like how well it integrates with other open source softwares. Administering the database is also fairly simple. It is one of the most resilient database software I have worked on. Also like the fact that you can scale both reads and writes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the capability of document validation. This feature has already been added to the newer versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building a quickly scalable data persistence layer is a breeze with MongoDB. it's very easy to build, maintain, manage and scale. Also like the driver support to almost all languages.
Spark connector for MongoDB
What do you like best about the product?
Spark connector for MongoDB is a good way to get data out of the database and do the analytics work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seating arrangement is not appropriate and may be need more space in the rooms so that people get the space and concentrate more on learning.

I m trying to do the analytics work using MongoDB

MongoDB is a modern DB platform that scales and is way less expensive than traditional RDBs like Oracle

nothing so far! The issues we had with Oracle are all mitigated abd we are excited used MongoDB

Trying to store, search, update and edit documents in a doc repository and scale to needs

If you are building amicro services based fault tolerant system that should easily scale this is your DB!!
Mongo allowed us to maximum efforts and increase customer satisfaction.

The ease of the install process and the speed of the processing of data is unmatched by other databases on the market today,
What do you dislike about the product?
Support at times is a little difficult at times. Being an enterprise customer, I would like to see an enterprise support dedicated phone number to call for live realtime support and assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to reduce latency that we were seeing with our older configuration using SQL. Mongo was able to reduce our costs by not have major license or larger carbon footprint.

Be sure that you do any training prior and ask questions.

rs.reconfigs causing unnecessary outages even when they are not supposed to for example removing a dead member from the set

As an operations engineer, I've been please with ease of deployment and reliability of the system; furthermore, support has always been responsive when issues or questions come up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Main complaint is that whenever we have questions about running mongod in a docker container, support always says "we don't officially support running mongo in a container" seriously? Get with the times!
