Collaborative System
What do you like best about the product?
Very useful for larger campuses, ease of access for professors to link information with students.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as many applications within the system as we’d like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Student-professor interactions are increased therefore grades and learning are boosted.

Clunky LMS hard to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
I suppose I like that you can categorize files and assignments into folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it takes so many clicks to complete one task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use blackboard at my current university. It allows me to distribute online materials to my students, but I could do it better using another platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do trials of other LMS first, like canvas.
Not user friendly and too much features
What do you like best about the product?
It has all the features to use within a educational environment and it's very customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It looks outdated and that means it's not very user friendly for students. 90% of the features it has are not used by the teachers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used it for 15 years on a daily bases within all our modules. We used it mainly for sharing files, sending announcements and give information about a module.

What do you like best about the product?
The part that I liked of Blackboard learn was the overview. For me as new user it was really clear where I could find the information that I needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the maintenance, sometimes the site was down for maintenance. So that could be a problem, because at that moment I needed the information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the time I used it for learning for, because i'm a student.

What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is a nice learning software to have all your classes in one location. I like how you can provide links in it and each class is customized to the professor's liking. There seem to be many features on this software that professors like to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could look better and be organized in a more concise fashion. The look is outdated and it seems as if everything is in the same font/style which is hard on the eyes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate that all my classes and their assignments etc. are located in one online portal. I would definitly say it helps me get better grades.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know how your professors set up each class. The software is customizable, so documents may be in different locations!
Good for school work

I like being able to upload assignments on here and receive grades

I don't like that it is constantly crashing in a school environment

Blackboard has glitches and bugs frequently. It doesn't feel reliable

What do you like best about the product?
The layout of all of the classes and assignments make it logical for the students to see what was covered and any new material added.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how blackboard does not automatically take your old classes away from the dashboard and put them in "upcoming classes". It could confuse students if they see too many classes in there. Blackboard should also take classes that were last semester's and put them in a different "past classes" section and not in the general classes section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the problem of online exams with lockdown browser!! Amazing way to make sure kids are not cheating, while giving the luxury of taking an online exam! Saving the trees!

Use it!! Amazing platform for students to achieve success!
Blackboard is not for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard has features that can be used for classroom management. Grading, attendence, all the basic features needed to management classroom.
What do you dislike about the product?
blackboard is not user friendly, the system is not easy to use and is not intuitive. I use two systems because I work at two institutional systems and I do not want to use blackboard, it it is dificult to use and requires much training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to do the work needed, such as keep grades, get reports, import assingments from Cengage, and have modules to divide the term work is to weekly assignments However, it is not quick nor it is easy to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I do not recommend Blackboard for classroom management. Canvas is a much better LMS and I prefer and would recommend that other institutions use for their instructors.

Easy to access my courses and turn in assignments online. Can see grades and participate in discussions.

The layout of the homepage, images would be nice for clicking on classes

Submit assignments, see grades, access my classes anywhere.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can upload assignments directly from your computer and easily see grades as soon as they are added.
application won't start
the box deploys, i get to the point to accept the self-signed cert, and then the page just spins.
the application never loads.
