Blackboard is Easy to Use and Efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is easy to maneuver through, especially when you are taking multiple courses at once. The sections are laid out clearly within each course and you can easily find what you are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are definitely some glitches. I have had posts that have not gone through and projects that I’ve had trouble submitting on time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s a great way to have all assignments and class information accessible at one time. It makes organizing and time management easier for me.

Blackboard is an Essential... Mood
What do you like best about the product?
Surely one of my favorite applications used to stay in sync and keep in contact with my peers, professors, and other school staff in a timely and efficient manner, very savvy, completed with user friendly keys and settings
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides would likely be that there's often a bit of a downtime which is RARE but mainly towards the start of the semester where so many users are logged on the servers crash
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Computer based skills, Visual Fine Arts techniques and case studies, Building tools, and fully detailed instructions based on third party links
A useful tool for students and educators
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can send out announcements to my students. I also like that I can upload course documents for students to view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that I sometimes send out announcements on Blackboard and I'm still getting complaints from my students that they are not getting notified by their email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The conversations tab is really useful. It's nice that my students can all have a discussion in one place, and if one student has a question they can ask it to the class, which is nice because another student probably has the same question.
Not very intuitive or user friendly, but a useful communication tool once you learn it

There are plenty of optimization options and it gives my classes a straightforward place to find information and do work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many features over-complicates use. There are so many options for creating assignments and activities it's difficult to know which ones to use, and how to use them. The help section is poorly written and doesn't help understand why features are useful, and how best to implement them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once I got skilled at the grades section, it really helped me streamline my grading. I also like the simplicity of having all (or most) assignments turned in online. Using SafeAssign also really helps solve the plagiarism problem.
Mixed Feelings
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard does have some great features. It is a great content management platform where it is very easy to manage course materials, manage full-time positions, and manage both your courses (from a student's end), and grade submissions (from an instructor's point of view). It is easy to access through both Windows and MacOS, and is good to have all things in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
First, the blackboard app is horrible. It freezes, logs out when you don't want it to, and does not even support simple file formats. It is also impossible to access the side-tabs of the desktop mode to the app mode. In the Desktop mode, the layout is still very messed up with characters and tabs overlapping each other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have mixed feelings towards blackboard. Although I mostly use it because my organization uses it primarily, it does have some very helpful features in the field of management. A lot can be improved, for sure, but it still helps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Since it is one of the most widely used learning management systems out there, it is worth using Blackboard as your primary content or course manager. However, I would not pay for it.

What do you like best about the product?
I can track my student engagement, and also see who is and is not downloading / reviewing / reading course material. I can also host online discussions via the platform for when class is out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is incredibly bland and difficult to work with sometimes - especially as an administrator. There are so many buttons and avenues to worm down that aren't clear or explicit on the surface.

Blackboard makes course material easily accessible to students and has it all located in one place, which is particularly beneficial for undergraduate students who tend to struggle with organization.

Blackboard Learn is good, makes different classes clearly distinguishable and has sections for all documents for students.

Copying course material and importing for future courses is difficult - I usually end up contacting support for assistance.

Student interaction and interface is manageable, tracking student engagement is easy and accessible.
