A great user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Blackboard for education since version 5. Blackboard do a lot of updates and improvement to product. I like that this learning management system is very useful friendly and straightforward to learn for both students and instructors . A lot of options for instructors to choose from like creating blogs , journals , wikis and discussions boards for students all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blackboard do a lot of updates sometimes an update may create a bug and need another update to fix!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard has been the solution of enrolling a large number of students in online courses . It has a good integration with registration software were students are automatically (may take up to 24hrs due to snapshot) enrolled in blackboard course shells after registration .
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that survey their users for needs and then implement a trial period in order to reach a final decision if this is the right consideration for them.

Excellent Organization and Presentation of Information in a Few Clicks
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is very simple to use and is intuitively organized. There are some unnecessary bells and whistles, but these can easily be turned off. I am not nearly as tech savvy as I used to be, but Blackboard has managed (even with several updates) to not go beyond my range of understanding and usability. I also like that Blackboard seems to work well for classes with computers and classes without. I teach at a university that has computer labs and classes without computer and it just depends on which classroom you'll get. I have found that even in classrooms without computers, students can still follow along with their mobile devices which makes it much easier for all of us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more flexibility for saving and downloading certain materials. For example, my announcements are where I place the overview/lesson plans for each class meeting. I wish there were a way I could 'bulk download' all of these at once in a Word document so I could save them, slightly alter them, and then use them for future semesters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't necessarily speak to this as I do not work on the business side of things, but as a faculty member I know that for those who use the LMS their students tend to have a better grasp of what's expected of them in class. I also think that students enjoy being able to access course materials online and it makes a significant impact on the environment and minimizing budget lines for paper, printer ink, and related products.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how colleges and other learning based information can use Blackboard to organize and have a way they can delivery a teaching method. Whether that is with a class online on in person. It is nice to see due dates, grades, and much more through an online software.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are new to using Blackboard it can be a little over whelming having to nagivate and learn a courses structure and where they put materials. The pros outway the cons in this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It currently performs bug reports and other ways to make it more user friendly.
Easy Nagivation with Blackboard Learn for college
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of using a software such as Blackboard Learn, is being able to group all the courses into one website for easy and quick access.. It makes it easy for students to go to a course in Blackboard and have all the information a professor has in to review online instead of having the professor print any necessary information students need to know.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are new to using Blackboard Learn, it can be kind of confusing and difficult to navigate through and learn the basic of the tabs. Each professor creates and sorts their documents and other mataterials in different ways.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes there are problems with being in the middle of a quiz and the timer incorrectly running. IT is working on fixes for that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For professors that don't use Blackboard, it is a great and easy way to put all the course work in a file.
Great for Students
What do you like best about the product?
I like that all of my classes and coursework is all in one place and it’s so convenient to be able to organize my work!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that sometimes the professor doesn’t grade assignments so in the grade book on Bb, it doesn’t reflect our current grades.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard Learn has helped the professors at my university with organizing student work and curriculum content being available for students.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how everything is laid out neatly into folders. Also, the calendar is very handy as I am given the option to only look at my work for certain classes or for all of them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how Blackboard does not have a "check mark system" where one would be able to mark off their progress as they go along their classwork.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard Learn has been down a few times for fixing, and it is inconvenient. A benefit is how organized everything is within the site itself (i.e. course messages, calendar, grades, etc.)

Everything is neatly sorted and easy to see!

there seems to be frequently be errors in taking quizzes or opening pdf files lately

prefer it over D2L which i feel was a little less user friendly
Blackboard is confusing to first-time users
What do you like best about the product?
I do enjoy the organization that professors can provide for their students. It is fairly simple to navigate around a class page, once items have been uploaded.
What do you dislike about the product?
Attempting to figure out where your organizations and classes are, especially when you are a first-time Blackboard user, it confusing and overwhelming. It's overwhelming to have to navigate and try and find your courses and assignments, particularly when there is so much text on the front page, immediately after you log in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard allows me to collaborate with students and professors, receive assignments and syllabi, and hand in assignments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to take the introductory course on how to navigate Blackboard if it is provided to you, either by Blackboard itself or the school you go to/work for.
Blackboard is not attractive in its presentation unless you know how to code

The platform has the tools and minimum resources to teach courses in the online mode

To my way of seeing one of the resources that works in an unwanted way is the WIKI
