Solid
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard makes it easy to teach online by allowing files to be uploaded as assignments and the ease of use of navigation. I especially like the « jump to » button when grading. This has helped me enormously. I think a template for online classes would be a good idea—it feels like there is a lot of leg work involved in creating basic course pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blackboard can be confusing to use at the beginning. It feels like there are many possibilities with a lot of potential, but one isn’t sure how to go about implementing them. It requires a training session at the very least, months of use at the most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to teach online and easily adapt my in-person course materials to online format. The format is more streamlined than canvas, which I appreciate. I like adjusting pictures and colors as well.

Effective and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Regardless of the user, student, professor, or staff, this software is easy to use. Creating test, adding assistants, creating layouts, and even grading, all can be done quickly and right.
What do you dislike about the product?
The grading system is not always clear, when locating the correct students and assignments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All involved in using the system, are able to do so with minimal training. It centralizes the grading, and comparisons between classes and student. It offers a universal option for professors and students to use to complete their coursework.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Blackboard, while has its problems, has proved infinitely more user friendly and preferable to the new course management site we are using.

There is a definite learning curve on Blackboard. For a new user, it is not always easy to figure out, or intuitive.

It has been very beneficial in my course management, both as a student and a teacher.
A decent learning management system
What do you like best about the product?
One of my favorite things about Blackboard is how easy it is to send emails to the entire class through the system. With the click of a button, you can send announcements to students as emails. Some other learning management systems allow students to set their preferences, in which case some of them may not receive the announcements via email. I also like how easy it is to create new columns in the grade center so that one can add participation grades, extra credit, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes take a lot of clicks to navigate through the various pages within a course in Blackboard. This can be taxing for both teachers and students. It also doesn't display very well on mobile devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard enabled us to effectively use technology for teaching our students. However, we have since switched to a more innovative LMS.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blackboard works fine as an LMS. However, I would recommend a more intuitive, innovative learning management system. There are other systems that make grading easier and work better on mobile devices.

There really isn’t anything that I dislike, I really enjoyed the whole process of blackboard! It made my college education experience easier

Blackboard has many benefits, such as discussion forums and easy accessible quizzes! They are easy to upload on the instructor’s behalf as well as the student who completes them.

They have a great discussion forum option that makes communication easy and fun!

What do you like best about the product?
Somewhat clean. The content can be somewhat easy to find if you are well organized as an instructor.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blackboard has consistently been the most unstable LMS that I have used, crashing often throughout the semester. The GUI is not nearly as easy to navigate as Canvas, Sakai or other LMS platforms.

I used this in college. It was just ok. I thought it did it’s job but had so much more potential.

It did it’s job but I felt it could be a little better at the ease and navigation of the sight.

It solve the problem of uniting the student body with the teachers.
