What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is a large platform that can wear many different masks. It can increase classroom productivity and allow students to have access to a wide variety of tools that can increase the pursuit of self directed learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Without proper training it can easily become sloppy and students may find it difficult to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing students to have access to materials outside of the classroom

Blackboard - A Powerful LMS
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility of design, module integration. Love how I can give the courses a strong design, easy navigation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing features for better ease of use. Would really like a better copy function for course content
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bb has been great as solving the problems when it comes to faculty training and development. We have found ways to speed up the onboarding process, deliver trainings and host workshops.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to access important class information, all in one place. In addition, it is quite easy to post class materials, such as a syllabus and PowerPoint presentations. Moreover, my students find this application to be the most appealing way to distribute information to one another, as well as learn about specific classroom announcements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I can think of that I dislike is the fact that there is a lot of maintenance during times that I need to access classroom content. If this construction could take place during less eventful hours, such as during the overnight hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are making it easier to communicate with students and professors. Important information is easily accessible to teachers and students, and announcements can be made in regard to important classroom events.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software program is the most efficient way to share important classroom information between professors, students, as well as others involved in contributing to the classroom. It is easy to use and contains all the resources necessary to implement a successful class.
Adequate study/class tool, but there are better alternatives
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard allows students to look at their grades, obtain class materials, and submit homework assignments. I like that blackboard is intuitive and very simple to use. I have never had any issues downloading materials or uploading assignments. Also, the organization of class materials is easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used both blackboard and canvas, and I prefer Canvas (another tool for class management) over Blackboard for the following reasons:
1. The canvas smartphone app makes it easy to check grades and announcements while on the go.There is no blackboard app.
2. In Canvas, you can message classmates to discuss class material, but this feature is absent in Blackboard.
Those are probably the largest drawbacks. Blackboard is a little more 'bare bones' than Canvas.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard has helped me with on-the-job training, as I need to submit assignments for work - related classes through blackboard. I have also obtained useful class materials through the blackboard interface. Overall, Blackboard has helped me to be more efficient in learning class material and submitting assignments. In addition, I am updated immediately when teachers post important class announcements through Blackboard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blackboard is easy to use and reliable, making it a good choice for online learning. It is easy to download materials, look at grades, view important class announcements, and access the class syllabus. However, there are some drawbacks--students cannot message one another to discuss class material, and there is currently no phone app for Blackboard. Compared to other class management tools such as Canvas, blackboard is a bit more stripped down.

It is very buggy and does not work well at all on android phones.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used this as an instructor to send out notes and training materials to the class. I used it when I was an Office Assistant at University of Texas, to create announcements.

Use it on a laptop rather than your iphone.
University Course Organization Made Easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard Learn allows me to keep track off all my courses during a semester and have all the tools necessary I need to succeed. All course material, announcements, and assignments can be found on blackboard should your professor choose to use it as such. Being able to turn in assignments online and view grades is also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main complaint about Blackboard is that in the past there would be a lot of connectivity issues. Often I would see Blackboard being down for both updates and unexpected occurrences. Always questioning whether the site would actually be accessible was always an important thing to consider, especially given time sensitive assignments. Professors would also often have trouble utilizing the site to get materials to their students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard is great choice for any education focused business or for just universities/schools in general. Online resources are a great alternative to cutting back on paper usage and constantly having to prepare handouts for class. Blackboard saves both time and money for both professors and students!

Consider Blackboard as an option for an education platform. The Blackboard team has been constantly updating and improving their product, so I would definitely at least check it out.
Upgrades are Helpful
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard is helpful for online learning. It offers most student features that are required for a student to navigate their coursework. The new collaborate platform is helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The look and feel are not "updated." It would be helpful to have an easier way to navigate between menus and more options for renaming documents and audio sharing. It is cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard is used for all of the online learning courses in the campus where I am employed. We also use it for student orientation portals. It is helpful because most students can log on anywhere are multiple roles can be added. There is also a lot of flexibility with the product.

New collaborate addition is very helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and standardize, also easy to schedule exams, etc. System provides a lot of features, however, many faculty don't know how to use them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The students seem to have a hard time finding content. They report Canvas is much more user-friendly. The overall navigation is confusing without customizing it. It also does not go into instructor mode via the app very nicely.

What do you like best about the product?
BlackBoard is very user-friendly for both faculty and students. Also, it can be accessed both on and off campus, and from a mobile phone too.
Grading is really easy and can be done BlackBoard, without me having to download the submitted assignment. This saves time. Also, one more important aspect is that you can check for plagiarism through one of the options offered for assignment submission.

What do you dislike about the product?
At times it can be tricky to set up things like group page, but I have found that our BlackBoard technical services have always been able to walk me through anything I'm having trouble with. Also, sometimes difficult reality is that "upgrades" often take place which shuts down access to BlackBoard mostly during 12:00 AM which is the prime time for students to submit their grades.

I use it with my classes to make an online portal for students to submit their assignments and get grades for their classes.
