Blackboard Learn Ultra is really easy to use and has some pretty advanced features
What do you like best about the product?
Easy management and has a intuitive GUI that is easy to use for both teachers and students. The assignment and assessement tools are really developing in a positive way.
We use a lot of LTI-tools and it integrates fine with Blackboard Learn.
The Ultra version of Blackbord Learn is very intuitive.

What do you dislike about the product?
The messaging system could be more advanced and the portfolio tool could be updated to a more modern design.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration with other systems works fine, Kaltura, Zoom, O365, LinkedIn Learning etc.

A solid and reliable VLE with great features and integrations
What do you like best about the product?
The platform itself is robust and reliable which is what's required for any institution but the best thing about Blackboard Learn is that you really feel that the development team listen to their customers and many new features are a direct result of what the community is looking for and is directly influenced by the way that the customers use the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the biggest thing we get complaints about is the availability of certain features - which may actually be available - but we can't switch on because it's a universal decision. For example, very few of our courses would benefit from 3 folder levels, but the large majority we wouldn't want them to have them (as the staff then bury content). It would be nice to have the granularity.
We also have to try to persuade our IT Services to switch some things on - for example, wiki's are no longer available but we can't enable the sharing a document from Word to fix this problem due to permissions that our IT Services aren't willing to unblock. As such, we can't release the 'share/collaborate documents from Office 365 feature which is heavily relied on for some things.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are branching into entirely online programmes for the first time and the features within Blackboard are enabling us to start designing in a well structured and supported way. Knowing that the product works globally and has fantatsic 'up' time is a real benefit considering that we may have students from different time-zones and unreliable internet connections. It means they can take part when they are able to.
Bb Ultra Course View is a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard Ultra Course View is the best thing since sliced bread, especially with the latest updates. It really is an entirely new LMS that blows Original Bb courses out of the water.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speaking only for my organization, Blackboard original course view is like COVID-19 - it won't seem to go away because people are carrying it around with them. I wish we could get a date to phase it out entirely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard Learn is a place to store data, run reports, host synchronous and asynchronous courses, and maintain institutional organizations.

Powerful capabilities from multiple perspectives (teacher, student, administrator). Additional integrations added to an institution's Bb environment extends that capability even further.
There will always be varying comfort levels and capabilities with technology among faculty. Bb is a platform that even the most basic user can utilize.
Anthology makes a concerted effort to host a wide variety of training sessions, "roadmap" sessions to inform users of what's coming, user groups to connect users together, focus groups to solicit input, and other miscellaneous connection opportunities. The point is they actively seek input, share information, and connect the community together! Oh! And there's the Idea Exchange where end-users can submit an idea for others in the community to vote on -- those with the most votes, Anthology develops in Bb Learn.
As with any technical tool, it takes an investment of time to learn its functions and tools. After the initial learning curve, there is so much you can do, and it's a relatively straightforward system.
Anthology is actively working to enhance their products and capabilities on an on-going basis. It's great to see so many enhancements and new features rolled out each month.
Anthology is also making great strides in Bb Data by creating a dashboard for stakeholders to access along with pre-created reports users can easily pull to extract a variety of data points. There is a lot of valuable information in Blackboard and Bb Data is working to get it into the hands of end-users.

Not always intuitive/easy-to-understand settings. However, I feel this is being addressed with Ultra Course View -- things are more intuitive and user-friendly.
Help articles/explanation tutorials are not as current as they could be. This makes it difficult to learn and understand. Anthology is currently working to address this and bring materials more current.
The transition to Ultra Course View is a huge undertaking for an institution. No question, it will be worth it, but it takes a large commitment of resources by the institution to prepare and make the transition. I would love to see more resources provided to Bb administrators in helping them to lead their school through this transition.

Bb Learn is the primary teaching tool for our faculty and students. It provides a centralized location for course materials, assignment submission, communication, and collaboration.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to use and had lots of support for users and admins.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost. Also, it didn't allow as much customization as Moodle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provided a learning management system for our students. We were able to provide online courses for secondary students using this learning management system.

What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard Learn can be customised according to the need of different educational institutions. You can use tools that make it easy to collaborate with students. It has so many assessment tools , such as tests, assignment . You can choose in this software whether you want to grade these tests manually or automatically

Some institutions find this software expensive, in result it restricts it's accessibility for small schools or organisation you can experience technical glitches and issues while using blackboard learn which can cause disturbance in learning.

Blackboard learn helps institutions or organization in solving business problem by providing a platform for online education and training programs.it can be a good platform for providing online education to students with scheduling tests and daily assignments to students.

What do you like best about the product?
Blackboard Learn is probably one of the beefiest LMSes on the Market, before Ultra. It has an immense amount of customization ability and administrator options that really allows you to make it your own.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SaaS Release Schedule, at least once a month my site breaks. Database locks, it's just left a bad taste in our mouths. It feels archaic, even looking at Ultra, it just doesn't feel intuitive anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard Learn really just solves the issue of having a platform where Faculty can easily distribute documents and grading so we can easily pull them for reporting.
The use of Panopto Video in Blackboard Learn
What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to use Panopto created videos to explain assignments to my students in a different way then just having a written assignment description.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some other applications that I cannot use with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blackboard allows me to post a variety of media for my students, like video. So I create videos in Panopto, edit them, click on the sharing function and use the links that are generated to post the video in all of my course sections.
Great Tool For college Professor

it provides so many varieties of built-in web-based tools like e-portfolio, wikis, and blogs that professors and students can use to create their content. it makes it easy to upload online papers,
What do you dislike about the product?
the mobile feature of blackboard learn is rudimentary and inconsistent. its android version creates an issue. navigation also creates issues sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a professor, it mainly helps me to make the assignments for my students and also helps me to make proper grading management and distribution. in this I can easily upload papers and distribute them.
