Upgrade to U18 Breaks ZM and WM
Zoneminder worked before the upgrade. I did not check Webmin.
When I SSH'ed into the instance the second or third time, I received a message that an upgrade was available. I mistakenly ran the upgrade to Ubuntu 18. It took an hour and change. After the upgrade both ZM and WM were broken.
I'm a retired mechanical engineer and administered a small Unix system in the 1980s. I have about 7 years experience running Linux on my desktops. Everything worked on my desktop when I upgraded from 14 to 16 and then to 18. I incorrectly assumed on Ec2 there would not be any problems doing an upgrade.
The point of purchasing the software pre-installed was to avoid configuring everything. I hate to leave one star but that seems to correctly reflect the current state of the product. I'm sure this worked at one time. I hope someone will update the install and move it back to the market.
