What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about it is that this platform offers wide range of bulit -in- analytical functions. It provides comprehensive security features. It is very easy to use and highly scalable. It is also known for its exceptional performance. It handle complex analytical quries on large datasets.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about OpenText Vertica is that it is it can be high cost for large-scale deployments or organizations with extensive data needs. It is complex to setup and configure for especially those users who are not familer with columnar databades.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OpenText Vertica solves several critical problems related to data analytics and management and it benefiting organizations in several ways. It handle large volumes of data efficiently which makes it an ideal solution for organizations who are dealing with high datasets.

What do you like best about the product?
I personally like theflexibility of vertica's projections of tables.It allows us to modifyprimary projection without altering the tables.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the database setup is quite simple but the documentations could be improved a little bit.For example if 3 nodes are runnind and 1 node is down the other two nodes dont scale up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its solving the client side ease of usage. Clients can easily compress and code the data based on their need.

What do you like best about the product?
Very useful functions in vertica and lots of ways to optimize queries. The documentation of vertica is very extensive. Being a columnar database, it's very effective in analytical uses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes performs poorly because of some builtin features like non existence of nvarchar or varchar2 datatype, no qualify function etc

I like the Geospatial analysis and time series analysis more relevant to my work and they helped me get the right analysis.

pricing can be improved for individual contributors as well.

I work in the Geospatial domain so to analyze large amounts of Geo data I find Vertica more suitable than competitors.

The only improvement vertica can do is it can improve the non relational data storage design as compared to druid.

Here in admaxim we are using vertica as a main revenue calculator tool. Daily we are generating scheduled report for n number of publishers as well ass DSPs vertica db.
