Acronis : The Best Backup Software

  • January 20, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
The best data recovery software available to all the users who needs protection across physical, virtual and cloud environments. It helps in disaster data recovery and data protection needs. The new version of the Acronis recovery has been improved with its catalog data search, disaster recovery plan and it is cross-platform. Updates are really flexible and easy to download. The image created from a saved directory is compatible to read and recover the same on any system.
What do you dislike?
The installation time takes a long day and it consumes heavy RAM. The cost of this product is more compared to other data recovery products. Study manuals are really bad.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I used this product when I was migrating my laptop from one to other. It created a single image of my entire file system and I was able to rediscover the same file system on the other system.
Benefits: 30 day trail, easy to use, helpful for personal data backup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best Data Integrity software. I recommend strongly for personal disk backup.

Complete Disk Backups

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
Acronis is a full-featured complete backup tool. It is quite easy to use, interface is well designed and it's well documented. I can take complete disk images with Acronis and it lets me to keep all my configurations, files and customizations safe. You don't have to be an IT expert to backup and restore your images. You can restore your whole system to a completely different hardware without any incompatibilities with Acronis. Also when you buy an SSD disk, some disk producers such as Western Digitals are providing a free copy of Acronis.
What do you dislike?
The installer of Acronis is huge, it's more than 1 GB. Acronis supports complete backups and compability both fo Windows and Linux, but OSX is still missing. Licences are expensive for individual use.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I've used Acronis to take an image of my whole system when I got an SSD. I took the image of whole system located on a hard-drive then Acronis migrated it to SSD for me. It was quite time saving and secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Acronis is a complete solution both for backup and restore needs. Especially if you are planning to migrate to another hardware, having a full image of data is always wise. I suggest you to try Acronis, they are providing a free-trial for 30-days.
