the root user is renamed as goot
This is causing issues with the installation of the rpcbind packages and the efs utils can't be installed , neither the nfs. Huge trouble for us. We are considering using the usual Ubuntu rather than this version.
Vish, I'm sorry to hear about your issue. The root user is not renamed in this AMI, nor in any other official Ubuntu AMIs from Canonical. (Disclosure: I work for Canonical.)
