What do you like best about the product?
The most popular functions of Dynatrace are the alerting for problem notifications, the use of customizable dashboards, and the visibility the smartscape topology provides us with.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wish that for every graph that Dynatrace shows through their site, they all had "pin to dashboard" buttons available, it would help create better dashboards and allow for easier customization. We also suggest a better licensing plan for host units and DDUs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace has helped eliminate many outages and prevent them altogether. Many people are thoroughly pleased with the number of services offered and the visibility it provides to them.

It is challenging to learn and become familiar with the concepts such as what is an application, key user actions, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Dynatrace to troubleshoot production problems.

What do you like best about the product?
Purepaths are da bomb, so helpful and fast to providing insight into a transactional issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom Extension support hasn't been the greatest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to find a problem quickly has been the best, and our ability to find and detect issues before business complaints have been rewarding to relationships.

What do you like best about the product?
The vest think I like in Dynatrace tool is that it has feasibility to have live alerts and synthetic monitoring of web or cloud based applications with proper tracking and monitoring in place.
What do you dislike about the product?
One think which i dislike in Dynatrace tool is that even though with the provided threshod for alerts monitoring, we used to receive some false aleet even though application is up and running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace is one of the best APM tool which provide proper monitoring for webor cloud based applications and with live tracking and also can have active alerts as per our requirement and also this tool provide us synthetic monitoring which shows live status for application availability statistics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best ever APM tool for tracking and monitoring web or cloud based applications with proper statistics and synthetic monitoring.

Dynatrace for MQ

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to see enqueue and dequeue rates, cpu and memory for each of the multiple Queue Manager processes, ability to see objects and their property such as queues (queue depth), listeners (status), and channels (status).
What do you dislike about the product?
With hundreds to thousands of queues defined Dynatrace is not the solution to use. It is fine for a queue manager with a limited number of queues. It is very cumbersome and tends to "overwhelm" the product if you have thousands of queues per queue manager. Also, each queue is displayed as a block which takes up so much of the screen. You are not able to view all queues at one time.

It was difficult to get permissions ironed out for the user "dtuser" which Dynatrace uses to access the information for each queue manager.
Specific Queue Manager names were not easily displayed and you have to dig down to find the name of the Queue Manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring for IBM App Connect Enterprise and IBM MQ. None so far. With ACE we are able to see all integration servers and the product seems to work well.

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace is one of the essential software for the production environments. Monitoring has a lot of great features, and auto alerts helps the team to take action quickly on potential problems.
It also helps with issue analysis like using pure path.
Dynatrace tool also useful to drill down on performance issues and figure out where most of the transaction time is being consumed by the application.
Dashboard also gives a quick view of lot of information at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve to this software. Some level of trainings is required by users to effectively work on this.
With so many features, things are overwhelming in the begining and it takes time to figure out best way to find the problem areas in the application.
Dashboard can also have improvements and make it more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace has helped with a lot of performance issues where one can dig into transaction details and time consumed by various processes or sub processes.
Another key business benefit is automated alerts based on monitoring. We are able to work on problems even before customers report the issues. This helps keeps customer satisfaction ratings high.
This has also helped in issue anlaysis where we can narrow down the logic behind the scene before any particular error has occured, it helps the triage team to find the root cause quickly and reach to the fix.

Perfect took for application monitoring, alerts, and analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace, appears when it requires the best scope to detect the common failures daily inside apps and services in the company where I worked. I was part of the negotiation team, and they solved all the requirements to understand our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes. They figure out all things inside Dynatrace and follow all the time the delivery requirements and compatibilities to solve and help our team to do possible the PoC and later the deploy to production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many problems before the Dynatrace deployment without effective detection. When deploying it, the findings help us to solve and attack the root causes to prevent future issues across our services.
