Great product Dynatrace

What do you like best about the product?
Custom Desktop, transaction analysis, Purepaths helps you in finding the issues from roots. Dril down functionality is awesome to go in depth of the issue, Filter option on transactions is best and give you more specific results.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a time gap bwtween the actual transaction time and the display in Dynatrace. Load time of screen is not so efficient but that might because of very large data and transaction it handles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding and fixing production problems has become easier with it. It helps where no other tool can. So really awesome.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This has improved and light weighted than earlier now and easy to use.

Great Production Monitoring Application

What do you like best about the product?
Displays the current activities perfectly using different graphs. Configurable dashboard for the application. Ability to apply filter on purepaths and time slots.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transaction analysis takes considerable time. Can not locate a purepaths on the basis of particular database column value. Web request does not show the particular failed transaction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Production monitoring and analysis. It has provided greater abilities to research production issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very good production monitoring tool. I used many but really there is no more efficient system available than this.

What do you like best about the product?
I use this tool as an end user and for me it is one of the best software through which it is possible to find errors both in terms of performance of the various web servers behind a VIP and to find out during transactions with http protocols and is very useful to perform in-depth analysis, until find a single web service that does not respond correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
a lot of waiting time between one report and another to solve problems in real time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this to find and troubleshoot issues with our applications, whether they are application issues with IIS issues, or network issues.

Excellent tool for monitoring and problem resolution

What do you like best about the product?
The new oneAgent and AI system that is able to set itself up,identify, and categorize everything on the system and provide all that information within minutes. It also has the ability to automatically identify problems, and when they’ve resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently you can group systems but you can’t define certain parameters for that group. Being able to define parameters for the group such as having a homogeneous system configuration would be helpful, this way the AI could pick up when a system was out of configuration and bring up a problem/alert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently it is being used for real-time monitoring of disk systems and memory utilization of an in-memory data grid. It helps with startup times and bringing up the platform and is very effective at determining the speed at which we can start the other parts of the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to identify issues quickly from across the stack to find problems early before they become service impacting. Previously this would have been a complicated process of data retrieval from a number of sources with potential blind spots that Dynatrace has now highlighted.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much information and data it has been quite daunting for the team, new to the system, to know where to look or to always know they’re looking in the right place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s initial implementation was to allow us better monitoring to prevent customer impacts from system issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Trial it on one of your applications. You will see the benefit almost immediately.

What do you like best about the product?
Diagnostics tools: thread dumps, memory dumps, cpu sampling. This tools help me to reduce the time analysis.

Also you can define a chart of a Java method to obtain response time, throughput over the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Alert configuration possibilities. For example, define an alert by ocurrrences number.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance problems in login, websites and internal applications:bottlenecks, blocks, high cpu consumption.

What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive data great for Development.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data overload. High learning curve. AppMon has a lot of manual configuration. Due to license cost, adoption is slow even though benefits have been realized with a few of our application teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Dynatrace to solve complex app problems especially during development and even recently during production.

Benefits realized have been getting to root cause and detecting issues that we wouldn’t have been able to see with other tools and getting to resolution quicker.
