Dashbird gives us a simple and easy-to-use tool to have peace of mind and know that all of our Serverless functions are running correctly. We are instantly aware now if there’s a problem. We love the fact that we have enough information in the Slack notification itself to take appropriate action immediately and know exactly where the issue occurred.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool definitely has a learning curve, and it's not super intuitive to set up rules for error thresholds.

Getting Insights from the Inside

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dashbird is very easy to set up because it scrapes log data from AWS CloudWatch. This means it doesn't need any integration code attached to your Lambda functions to work. Just deploy a CloudFormation template, and all your functions are observed.

Dashbird's Well-Architected Lense helped me find problems at one glance, so I could apply AWS's Well-Architected Framework and see if I did everything correctly fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is just okay-ish. It's certainly better than CloudWatch, but that's easy to achieve.

You find your way around pretty quickly, but sometimes things aren't straightforward to locate.

Dashbird is constantly improving and their last dashboard revamp made things better, so I think this will just be a matter of time and UX budget to get this straightened out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Applying the Well-Architected Framework to my workloads. Also, quickly debugging Lambda functions.

One-stop dashboard, in Dashbird

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dashbird has been a lifesaver for me. Debugging and capturing errors is hard with a fully cloud-native serverless deployment. That's why you need a tool like Dashbird to make it easier and faster for you. I primarily use Dashbird to show me if I've got any unexpected/unknown errors or what their error count is. It's good to see it reporting and giving me a heads up on things that are not tagged, things that could be upgraded, things that are orphaned.
What do you dislike about the product?
My requirements are quite simple, so I haven't really got any hard dislikes. I would love to be able to construct custom log-alerting/filtering, but I understand this feature is due shortly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me it's a huge time-saver, I get the succint information I need pushed to me in a single place, so it's not OTT in saying it's quite simply a life saver in this capacity.
