What do you like best about the product?
This works well at a broad and granular stage. Discover the magnitude, sort, name, system, etc. vulnerabilities. This helps you to push the hazard to a minimum. If you incorporate patching and danger remediation on a scale with individuals and procedures, also Tenable is a successful result. If you have not already done so, please do so before you spend on a device. If you can do this even in your siesta and are strongly inspired and experienced enough to build your own automatic repair plays, pursue an answer that can lift you more heavily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The absence of playbooks or other automated weaknesses and risks is Tenable's greatest vulnerability relative to its stronger competitive power.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We cover a requirement to control our infrastructure with a requirement to conduct monthly vulnerability assessments. In addition, almost all our critical infrastructure needs an annual vulnerability evaluation, however, we can do so on a monthly basis with this method.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly reommend the tool to find vulnerabilities in your systems.
Great, cloud-based. Keeps pace with Cloud and container technologies.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it's easy to use and fairly intuitive (newer interface).Love that I can scan my AWS and GCP assets without issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bit of a learning curve, but nothing insurmountable. It's a little confusing that some of the pages are still in the classic interface, but they are moving everything over to the new interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into our several cloud accounts and expanding around our containers/Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure.

What do you like best about the product?
The dashboards. They can be customized to suit almost any need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything I don't like yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We replaced a competing vendor that was not filling our needs.
Tenable.io - Crushing Vulns!
What do you like best about the product?
The new interface Tenable invested in and the extensive amount of quality self-assist documentation Tenable provides to clients. In addition to various attractive features of their Tenable.io service, their Community portal and documentation is a major reason why we elected to partner with Tenable over their competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its fairly minor, but there are still features that seem to only be available via Tenable.io's classic console / interface vs. the new. It seems that Tenable is quickly closing the gap on that and it will be nice once the classic interface can be retired with all legacy features migrated to the new.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identification of web application, cloud infrastructure, an local workstation vulnerabilities. We are starting to identify, triage, and crush vulns much more efficiently than prior methods.

Give it a chance, excellent product for its intended use.

Nessus Agent capabilities and scan engine from Nessus

API limitations, Thycotic integration, credential management, new interface. The reporting capabilities are challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility into the security posture of all devices on our network.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand limitation of API based integrations and scaling. Define a reporting structure to use for prioritization of vulnerability results for remediation efforts.

What do you like best about the product?
Consistent interface and VPRS scoring system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The asset monitoring function. I really do not track assets with this tool. The constant nags about under licensed are just plan obnoxious.

Weekly vulnerability scanning and patch prioritization based upon those scans.

What do you like best about the product?
Tenable.io has a great system to scan your internet facing portion of the business from the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike having to use multiple panes of glass so Tenable.sc is managing the reports for Tenable.io.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of reducing the vulnerabilities in the perimeter of the environment. We are also able to use this to check for new vulnerabilities that management wants numbers on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It really comes down to Tenable or Rapid7 for a complete solution. Tenable is a little cheaper with not having to buy Qualys hardware but then extra expertise is needed to stand up your own scanners.

The site has issues loading from time to time.

It helped to complete our Vulnerability Management Program. Guided our teams to prioritized our patching.

You can easily schedule Vulnerability Assessments for your most critical infrastructure.
Reports are easy to understand and easy to be shared either to technical teams or even to senior management.
The post-sales support by having access to the Tenable University is really usefull.
The tool is very flexible in terms of grouping the infrastructure devices in order to schedule vulnerability assessments in many different ways, according to priorities.

During the Tenable webinars the technical explaination was a bit fast.
The configuration is a bit tricky and requires specialized personnel in order to have a successful and faster implementation.

We are covering a regulatory requirement that demand us to perform monthly vulnerability assessments over our payment system's infrastructure.
Additionally we must perform an annual vulnerability assessment over the rest of our critical infrastructure, however with this tool we are able to performe it in a monthly basis.
The follow up of the remediation plans to solve the vulnerability findings is easyer through the vulnerability reports generated automatically by the tool.
Providing compliance reports for internal/external audits or either to regulators is a lot easyer since the tool generates the reports automatically.
Additionally we must perform an annual vulnerability assessment over the rest of our critical infrastructure, however with this tool we are able to performe it in a monthly basis.

The new UI is getting more usable with the code migration from Tenable.sc

Permission Migrations and getting used to Access Groups. Just getting used to the new permission configurations is a bit of a learning curve.
