Easy Attack Protection

What do you like best?
PerimeterX (PX) is great at blocking attacks. We are a very large e-commerce platform, under constant attack. Everything from account takeovers, to credit card fraud. PX has blocked attacks that could have ended our company.

I also love their support. We have a shared slack channel. If I were to ask a question there right now, at 10pm, I'd instantly have help from their team. It makes me feel good knowing that if an attack happens at any time of day, that I can get help.
What do you dislike?
Their dashboard could use some work. Granted, we don't use it that much. And I don't think many people do. But, I'd like to see improvements there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a large e-commerce site. We are under constant attack They help us detect and block attacks every day. It amounts to tens of millions of dollars saved in fraud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product, but it's not a panacea. Attacks evolve, and you need to stay on top of it.

What do you like best?
Main dashboard, really useful information. The support is top-notch!
What do you dislike?
Interface can be hard to navigate sometimes, interface can be slow. Would love to make it easier to find custom rules, they are kinda buried in the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it combined with Fastly to prevent bot attacks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a plan of attack to integrate all the PX offerings into your workflows and processes!

What do you like best?
Very few false positives. Easy to integrate with our CDN. Responsive support channels (slack/email). When we are seeing anomalous behavior on our site, they are able to target and block just the bad traffic with almost surgical precision while leaving customer traffic unaffected. Easy to add custom Access Control rules when the list of Known Bots is not enough, however they do a great job of keeping the Known Bots list up to date.
What do you dislike?
Backend admin page can be slow at times. On the rare occasion we have a customer reach out to us due to BotDefender blocking them, it would be nice if there were more details available about why the block is happening so we can more quickly assist the customer. If we have to reach out to PX about a block it just slows the entire process down. Would be nice to see streaming log support so we could begin to build our own reports/etc to integrate with our other tools. Custom access control rules could also benefit from the ability to add a comment so we can track who added a rule and why.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting legacy web applications from evolving threats. Implementing BotDefender at the edge (CDN) vs origin is a big win for us and our customers. We have also seen much less price scraping across our site.

What do you like best?
Not having to worry about bots. It seems to mitigate/catch vast majority of attacks or malicious activity. Easy to customize rules. Good dashboard.
What do you dislike?
Wish it was easier to test rules or simulate activity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bot mitigation. No bot spikes. Better metrics due to less bot activity.

What do you like best?
I like the slack channel and ease of support. I've only worked with one other company (ObservePoint) using slack channeling like this with their clients. It has made my job much easier, seamless and easygoing to have that support like that.
What do you dislike?
I'd say the tool itself - could use some work. I don't know if they have personalized experiences based on logins or what not - but once I had trouble finding a report I wanted, and support sent me a screenshot of a whole different UI. The UI itself seems like it could use some improvements navigationally and aesthetically to be more intuitive for non-familiar users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been tuning things to block both malicious and unknown bots. It has helped balance and normalize a more accurate depiction of our bounce rates in our web analytics tools and also has continued to work - which has put my team at ease. I also wish that the adobe analytics + perimeter X integration was a bit more seamless and not requiring dev to insert snippets of code instead of a direct api integration of some sort is all.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a good bot defender that can get the job done while offering first-class support - Perimeter X is a good solution. They have a great support team that offers transparency and extended support. Their tool is very effective as a standalone bot filtration solution with top-notch support.
