HERE's Inovation to Location Services
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoyed the partnership we use to have. Attending sessions to explain new ventures and innovation.The partnerships they have regarding vehicles mapping services
What do you dislike about the product?
As for the South African market, they are quite expensive due to the exchange rate. but given the opportunity will work worth them again for sure

A very comprehensive API
What do you like best about the product?
The geolocation capabilities are very complete and the development team has been able to implement them easily

Perhaps I would simplify the pricing a bit more, although their prices are very competitive

What do you like best about the product?
The accuracy and easiness of use of the api's provided by here with their call support with email support is cherry on the top. Compared to its competitors the pricing is quite affordable and can be taken in use with less resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning to be taken to built optimised version of location services with already built application is very much complex.when relying on third party api's data and privacy may be a concern because one has to be very carefull and responsible while sending customer data or company data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HERE location has many services like geocoding , routing , traffic data etc. In my usecase we were creating an automated validation of end users information authencity example like if user has entered location in his virtual form we send it to here api and validate it if get correct response back. Then the data is used for creating a route for delivering the products to user correctly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned this is an alternative to google maps with multiple options for user to update realtime situation which benefits co-drivers, and the update from user wikl takes minimal approval to go live in application

It is beneficial for driving. It can show location on an accurate manner. With its precision location tracking and support service, it makes the work quite easy.

Here started as a free service. It has evolve over the year. After the divestment from Nokia, it goes through a lot of changes. Now it is quite difficult to get service directly without signing in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our work, we need geodata for proper planning. With the help from Here, location related data can be extracted easily. Also the data we need, most of the time we find are updated.

The ease to navigate my city using the app. It provides the best route to my destinations and gives heads up on traffic jams.

In case you don't have internet, you need to manually toggle the offline version.

What do you like best about the product?
The here Location services utilises highly updated data streams unlike most other loction services that rely heavily on open source and one time data upgrades. These APIs are also easy to use with developer friendly documentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing matrix is a little complex where forecasting the cost at scale becomes difficult. The user / IP throttling could be better with differential pricing options w.r.t. different projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost to manage location data is quite high so is the updation cost. HERE solves this by continuously updating datasets mainly around the road infrastructure enabling accurate in app integration. Also, making GIS developer friendly is a plus that HERE provides.

HERE location services is super accurate, I find it to be more accurate than Google, often use it on my phone for directions.

What do you dislike about the product?
The UI/UX isn't as usable as Google or Apple maps, which is the only thing I don't enjoy about it.
Since the HERE business model places a premium on accuracy, their attention to usability might grow. I would want to see their maps become easier to use by incorporating user-friendly UI/UX.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of their maps without an internet connection is one issue that HERE Location Services is resolving. Users can download a map to their device and use it offline. They can even download maps by country or continent to save space on their device.

What do you like best about the product?
Useful data responses. Here offers quite a few datapoints that are either not easily available, or require multiple services to aggregate elsewhere.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've used Here.com for countless development projects. Their technical support and customer service options are absolutely abyssal in comparison to their competitors. What would otherwise be a simple recommendation to always utilize their service t urns into a guessing game of whether a particular project can afford the time that may be required for an adequate response.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Attempting to solve large scale routing requests, specifically utilizing their large route matrix. We have realized zero benefits, unless paying for a service that is unusable was my intention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not use any professional or enterprise level services. It's reasonable enough to try any services on the Free plan and expand those to production use. You cannot test any Pro/Enterprise services without first paying, and subsequently not receiving support.
