Love the JSON type fields
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to use JSON field types and the overall performances

The poor management tools available in opensource : phppgadmin really has a poor UI

Building an API requires a strong batabase system that can handle huge volumes of requests

Used to be good, now it's confusing
What do you like best about the product?
I used to really like it because it was easy to navigate and easy to connect and do what i needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Now in the newer versions, I'm pretty confused as to where everything is and not sure if it's just me or is the UI less professional now??
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I just needed a GUI to access my postgres database. I don't use this anymore because I found a better software but wish it didn't have to happen this way because I was a user of this for a long time

I use Postico now
Good feature set and scaling capabilities

Open source software, wide range of OS support, strong set of DB performance and language flexibility (Python, C, C++, etc), security model is mature and ability to use shared or dedicated hosts for large sites is well established

Inability to change tables used in views

What we like best of PostgreSQL is the versatility, community support and ease of adaptability

None - There was none to dislike PostgreSQL at all. Its fantastic!

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and setiup.. I use a software as a service for Postgres which is free.
What do you dislike about the product?
The datatypes are very different from MySQL, Oracle or MSSql server

I mostly use this for teaching. I have found it to be a relatively inexpensive product to teach database management systems
Good product for development

Main advantage is reliability and stability

Usability and learning curve. Installation and configuration is bit difficult

We are using it for c OK moles data models. It's good for store and manipulation of data. Syntatic sugar for querying. Very good for cloud hosting. Compared to all other database, I prefer postgress for huge swath of data problems
Tough but easy

I like that it comes with all of the sql commands built in to the CLI.

I disliked how hard it were to get up and running.

I manage workers data. A benefit that I've realized are it's query return speed compared to sql.

Give it a chance and see if it's perks of speed are right for you. Difficult instantistion though.
Best Database Server
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about this database is, it is open source. We can customize it according to our requirements. Postgres is portable with all the platforms and programming languages. It does not requires more command line configurations. It is most reliable and stable database.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some problems with postgres when we compared it to the mysql database. Low budget hosting sites supports mysql than postgres mostly. In terms of speed, mysql needs less work than the postgres. Also more open sources support mysql but not postgres. These are some of the problems with postgres.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postgres is the good for the embedded applications.It's reliability is high. I found that it is more flexibility for concept research and deployments without any licenses which costs more.

The postgres is the best database server, which is an open source. It is more profitable for the business models. There are high sql standards. It has more features than mysql database.It is considered one of the most reliable databases on data reliability and correctness. It can also helps in solving the database related problems. It can be installed and run on many types of platforms like Windows, Linux and Unix. There are many GUI tools of high quality available for this postgre sql from both the developers and the commercial providers.It provides the better support than the proprietary vendors. It gives personalized view. It is easily configurable, also it has subquery support.
Free, Open Source and not MySQL! What not to like.
What do you like best about the product?
After dealing with the oddities of MySQL for years and looking for a real database, PostgreSQL is a breath of fresh air! Sub query performance is much better, good management tools, free and open source.
What do you dislike about the product?
Archaic authentication and authorization

Much faster performance than MySQL, need less servers now.
