What do you like best about the product?
Portability is tremendous. Ability to make a backup and transfer to another system simplifies deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending upon the storage format, performing a restore due to crash can be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for SaaS implementations. Fast, quick.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Depending upon the SLA and your support system is a great tool. SQL Server tools are more friendly but for the price MySQL is a great option.
Mysql is a very useful database for small projects, local development and testing

The fact that it is an open source dataabase and is absolutely free.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not being used in larger projects where oracle and other database are preferred.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to use it as a database and install it on my local pc. I am able to configure it quickly and its up and running in no time. It is easily integrated with eclipse and does not require too much space on hard disk.

It is an open source software and it very reliable for small projects. It is free

What do you like best about the product?
The workbench is a treat. Its flawless, executes queries in a blazing fast manner. All the operations can be performed through the GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in specific but the bugs in exporting the data of tables. The pre-written DML queries use a specific apostrophe that is not normally used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL server have the best joins. I never failed to communicate with DB it understood each and every join and returned all types of results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product, it would be great if the software size is reduced and the amount of RAM it consumes is decreased.

What do you like best about the product?
I most like about MySQL is a open source and so much easy to understand. MySQL is free so we not charge any price to use database. MySQL is a great GUI support to manage table and schema easily. MySQL is run on all the platforms.

I don't found any dislike in MySQL. MySQL is best rdbms.

Great Database management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I find mysql very easy to use, It gives safe update mode , provides details of process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find that it is slow and some of the functions are not supported in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use mysql for development and production, It is free resource and provides many of the functionality. I can easily create user for accessing database with different permissions.

Mainly i am facing stability problems and difficult to debug the stored procedures.

Its installation can be done in almost all operating systems, its syntax is easy, it uses the standard sql, it supports multiple functions and operations.
You can develop all kinds of queries with multiple concurrences without data corruption.

Does not support unions.
Stored procedures are not widely supported.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a multi-purpose database engine, we have used them on our websites without problems with excellent performance, we have never had a problem with data corruption so it is a great relief for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is ideal for web implementations, since it is used as a database in almost all CMS in the market, its integration is not complex, so it will save us time and money.

What do you like best about the product?
My SQL is a relational based database management system that is used in many data-driven web applications. I used to work with this software on many system platforms and also design different websites for my clients. The query language used is very easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislike at all. The software has been working well for my business although the storage space is a bit small in today's technology. The software is only available on the computer version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to design and open websites for my clients hence saving on time because the processes are automated. and it is also good for new users.

I recommend this software to students and other experts who are looking forward to learning programming. It is very easy to install and understand.
It delivers and connects you to most web servers and integrates easily with most programming langs.

portability of mysql is something I enjoy because it is very compatible with many systems.

it's commandline help is not as comprehensive and mostly I have to rely on online resources, which are mostly good enough.
