What do you like best about the product?
It works with a dual license, that is, it allows you to use it freely for test developments, student research, small businesses and corporate licenses with advanced features, it is ideal for web developments
What do you dislike about the product?
Free versions do not include all functions and in limited opportunities for certain research tests, licensing is quite expensive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of large numbers of records, databases, quick searches, use of intuitive filters, triggers, integration with tools, information systems and others
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For companies my recommendation is that they always keep the staff with continuous courses and training so that they are updated in all innovations, for professionals who continue to learn and use mysql and always make backups

What do you like best about the product?
We use MySQL to house our whole data mart, so as an analyst, I am using this every single day. The thing I like best about using MySQL is it's simplicity. I have used other statistical coding languages and I have found that coding is very easy. Also, it is very helpful that that you can house your whole data mart into MySQL and divide it into Schemas. This way, you can only allow access for certain users to see certain tables. You can also create tables and views easily in this.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I like dislike the most is the vagueness of the error messages. I have used R Studio for coding in analytics, and their error messages give you more than enough detail to figure out the issue. Also, the same error message can be applied to multiple issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use MySQL to pull data for my operations team and for our department. I also use it to build different tables to build out different reports I then use to display in BI softwares (tableau/domo). The main benefit, as previously mentioned before, is how easy it is to use. Anyone can pick it up quickly. The other benefit I enjoy is that it can be integrated with a lot of BI softwares, which is very useful for me because our team is often asked to add visualization to the data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are going to start this at your company, I would recommend having someone who is familiar with coding to be an admin, and then assist with others trying to use this software.

What do you like best about the product?
large numbers of records can be handled, it is free software, it handles triggers, you can work by command line or by graphic environment, the search engine and filters are very fast and intuitive

Only paid versions have full functionality and are expensive licenses

easy database management, quick searches, integration with information systems, integration with any programming language

What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion in past year MySQL improves more than I think as a development tool for large database. Installation and all the things making Store procedures, views, table becoming more reliable and useful for developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some time after installation java file corrupted for this tool and in this manor we need to reinstall all the stuff from the start point that is I most dislike about it.As compare to SQL server writing query syntax and formatting issue.

it is light weight and open source that's why it is become very handy to implement client side to implement that is major benefit of using it.

Light weight, very reliable and widely known database. Its easy to manage and easy to use. Performs very well for the applications I have used.

Nothing specific to the functionality and performance but it may not be a good choice if you are running big data applications.

Its super easy to setup, configure and portable. I use it in the cloud and very happy with the provided managed service in terms of backup, recover etc.
Databases with MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
MySQL will allow us to design and manage relational databases with ease thanks to its powerful and intuitive graphical user interface. Additionally, it is open-source software, which means it has a large number of users working non-profit to keep it updated. And it is free, not requiring expensive licenses for its use, whether academic or business. MySQL is designed to support numerous simultaneous user requests, and it is fully compatible with a server or hosting.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL is not easy to use, of course, it requires extensive knowledge in the design and management of relational databases, as well as a command of the SQL language. For beginners, it is not suitable; a better option is OpenBase or Access, which do not require a deep understanding of that language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our corporation, MySQL is used exclusively for academic learning in database subjects, for the design of large relational databases.

Recommended for those users with SQL knowledge who want to practice or use databases for free.
One of the most effective database management tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely easy to use and simple. Installation and setup is also very easy. And supports PHP. It is also very easy to learn it and is not complex at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike about MySQL, but sometimes there are stability problems also it gets laggy at time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use it for web application and stores the data in it. As it is easier to sort and manage huge amount of datas using MySQL i often use it when dealing with large amount of datas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a newbie and doesn’t know programming well i would recommend using this software because it is very easy to learn and the installation and setup is also very easy. This is an open source application too.

Very stable when maintained and operated properly. I prefer to use this in Linux

Can be difficult to install in windows but I am not sure this is MySQL issue

Some times we can see stability issues with MySQL. Its depends on addons and Mysql is restricted for complex business logic.

As we know MySQL is widely used for data storing and retrieving content. It is open source. easy to use and setup.
