Open source so there is a vast amount of documentation on almost anything you have issues with

There are some compatibility issues with certain proprietary products that make it difficult to use for some of our applications.

We use this primarily to create queries on our infrastructure response rate information

What do you like best about the product?
I like MySQL because it is free and available on ease. One can easily update its views to the latest version. I can also choose the most effective storage engine in the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software performs one command action at a time which takes a lot of time for the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My SQL has enabled me to support higher scale needs in the company because it is a single scaled server. I have also been able to backup all data from all storage engines and handle data from all operations.

I recommend use of MySQL especially to students who want to learn to programme. It is very easy to understand and navigate through.

The great advantage that the MySQL software provide us is that it is so easy to install this software and this integrated tool can easily setup without any problem. The another great advantage that this software provide us is that we can stored he data, documents and files in this efficient software. In this software the storage data is always secure and protected from any virus attack. It is very easy to use and it has more stable software rather then the other softwares. This software is not very expensive as compared to the other software and the small size business community afford this efficient software. We are getting insights into the data by using the MySQL. We can easily use the database system with our open source projects and it is really very good software for handling the large amount of data in a perfectly manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you can face a lots of problems is that begin free and the open source comes with problems. Sometimes errors occur in the messages but the SQL errors messages do not show exactly where an error occurred in a given statement. We cannot use this software on a large databases. The another most obvious difficulty that this software provide us is that during the backup process, the database is blocked. When it takes you more data slowness gain from the database. But still it is the best database software. We found that MySQL is very fast and the most reliable software.

MySQL is the best database software. It is very easy to use, fast and the most reliable software. It is very good software for handling the large amount of data in a more efficient way. We are easily getting insights into the data by using the MySQL software. In this software I can easily stored the data, documents and files files in a instant way. MySQL is an efficient software because we can easily create and customize databases, tables, routines, procedures will all make the workflow super easy to manage our data in a more efficient way. The first benefit that this software provides us is that we can easily store large amount of the databases records without any issues. Hence it is the best and excellent storage capacity. It is one of the easiest and fastest database systems which can we use easily. That said there is a huge community of users and it is normally very easy to use in a more efficient way. MySQL is an open source software that allow to anyone to use it and modify it. Moreover, it supports several operative systems and it is very easy to install and figure. It is a very good quality software that provide management and development workspace functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first problem that we faced is that it is a large learning curve and it take a lot of time for user to get a hang of it. The MySQL manage the large amount of the stored procedure, functions, views, tables with number of columns but it does not handle with the efficient manner. Sometimes, the transaction with large of data cannot done with the good manner. Hence it is the best database manager software.

MySQL software is very easy to use, and installation is also very easy. The best advantage that this software provides us is that it has the great ability to store the binary data and provide the greater support for the advance stored procedure. We use MySQL as our database for all our products. Hence it is the best database software. Sometimes you faced the serious problems such as the best nag free and the open source comes with problems. But otherwise we can use this database system with our open source projects. Another problem that we faced is that installation time may take longer and sometimes it hangs up without any reason. Some features should be more enhanced such as the data interface can be more interactive. But to conclude that it can connect multiple people and it run faster in a different tab in a more efficient way.

Mysql has helped me to establish the speed, the confidence at the time of processing the data in optimal times, it is easy to install on any Windows Linux platform. It is an open source, has enough documentation and tutorials in the cloud to adapt or resolve any failure that has occurred. Its speed and search of information are very efficient, the repairs in the tables are very effective and the searches are snapshots of several tables as one. mysql is very efficient to avoid redundancy of information
What do you dislike about the product?
the readings of the keys are usually slow, when you read a key, the MERGE storage engine needs to read in all the fundamental tables to validate. update restrictions, when requesting the update of a row of a view should be translated into an update request to the view source table, this applied in very large views can cause problems and prevent updates from being made and could cause inconsistencies when displaying the information consulted.for the development and maintenance of stored procedures needs experts to be able to perform them
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that has been requested has been to design and implement a relational entity model that allows the storage of cdr data from mobile telephone exchanges and the benefit obtained has been very positive, since it has allowed to optimize the control of the cdr and expand the analysis of call volume at a specific time in the cdr

We have not encountered any issues with MySQL. We have greatly benefited from the use the DB engine on most of our internal applications.

Even though MySQL is an easy to use DB engine, the user interface can use some improvements. Make it somewhat easy to use for non-technical users.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is free, and open source. This is selling point number 1. Aside from that SQL is used everywhere, but MySQL is extremely reliable. Uptime for all of our databases is great, even for extremely large amounts of customer data that we have stored. Queries are built on SQL and are great, and the level of customization that MySQL provides overall with our data is top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have to develop our applications for MySQL in house based on our own efforts. Especially with our Sales and operations employees that rely on our databases, we had to develop applications for their needs in house. Oracle should take the lead here, and develop a suite that helps build applications using MySQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL manages all of our databases on the back end, and we use it to manage not only customer data but we keep a record of power use, energy data from substations, etc. Data that we need to keep record of and look up on, is all stored in MySQL.

If you are looking for any type of relational database MySQL is one of the most well known names, for a good reason. If you need a database management system that can handle anything you throw at it, MySQL is the one to go with.

MySQL is a non-RDBMS Database but it is more popular in SME's for their LAMP Platform as a database. It has support for SQL Query language. It has provision for data concurrency. Provision for data redundancy, provision for no duplication of data. Gels well with Opensource LAMP Platform. It can also connect with Microsoft visual studio platform. Easy to use.reliable light weight backend database. Mysql database is available for both LINUX AND WINDOWS operating systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL being no-RDBMS, there can be certain standard RDBMS Features will be missing because it doesn't follow many EF. Codd's rules. The security aspect can be a concern on a large dataset. Integrity constraints not defined well. Stored procedures came in only in recent versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being an Opensource Database for the LAMP platform. MySQL gels well with PHP LAMP platform. We can even write stored procedures in PHP. There are provisions to secure the data by means of MD5 Encryption. The performance of mysql is good with large databases. Not only LAMP, But also it can connect with several other frontends like HTML5CANAS, JS Frameworks, and many other open-source ecommerce platforms.
