Open to use free for all developers and companies
What do you like best about the product?
1. As it is open source relational database management system so it is freely and globally available and supported by all the languages.
2. To manage your data there are many simple and almost all Sql functions and queries with that you can manage your database.
3. There is also a triggers which is very help to develop your projects means it will tell you what to do when some any DML queries fire.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. I handle may be about to 3 to 4 projects in my company and it is working fine for me so i do not have any cons about MySql.
2. Some times it is not easy to handle multiple database with huge size data.

1. I used it to develop my projects developing in different different languages.

1. If you are working as a freelancer or running a company and do not want to pay money so with some efforts with the MySql database you can easily manage you projects data.
2. As it is free and globally available so you can use it any time any where.

Easy-to-use Relational Database for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
Several distributions for development community including portable version.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is awesome but i think it can be better if it's the documentation was more detailed and vast helping beginners to start modeling with a visual tool for free. Reverse engeneering would be welcome too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to install and use. I use to build simple projects like task apps and complex ones like National shark attack Monitoring using coordinates in our coast.

Ease to use, install and maintain im small projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been worked with MySQL since I started my College and I heard many times that MySQL wasn't the best solution for your company and blablabla but I can tell you after 10 years of experience working on with this DB I never had to change to anything else because of issues or performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Outside PHPMyAdmin we don't good software to help us managing it.

Mysql includes the most complete set of advanced features, management tools and technical support to achieve the highest levels of MySQL scalability, security and uptime. It reduces risk, cost and complexity in the development, implementation and management of business-critical MySQL applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
For now I have nothing to complain about from MYSQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems. It allows me to continually monitor my databases and alerts on potential problems before they affect the system. It offers encryption, key generation, digital signatures and other encryption features to help us protect the company's confidential data.
MySQL is the best option to store data.

It's a good option to manage database. It's more secure and reliable database management system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's functionality tends to be heavily dependent on add-ons. So that point I was dislike in MySQL.

I store my site content and user data in MySQL database. So I was easy to manage site content through backend using MySQL.

What do you like best about the product?
It is the best relational DB management system by using structured query language(SQL). I found writing a query is simpler here.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not suitable for Big Data. We are not able to handle large volume of data accurately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
writing queries in simple way for small data is very easy in the MySQL.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For smaller scale companies it is worthful to use. It not required very skilled people.

I like the syntactical flexibility more so than Postgres and sql server

Io speeds are inefficient relative to other dbms io speeds

What do you like best about the product?
It's free for managing your sql database online. The interface for PHP MyAdmin has improved over the years and handles a myriad of database operations
What do you dislike about the product?
Default values are too low. With broadband, 500 records can easily be loaded on screen at a single time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL runs on all of our websites, four (4) of them to be exact. MySQL stores prices and data for all of our parts beneath a Wordpress interface. I also have a hand coded custom website that hold 5000 records of data in the music industry using MySQL. It is an online searchable database with fields such as artist, venue, city, state, country.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
make backups, if you are new at administering databases, you will make errors. You can easily restore in literally just a few minutes, and you will be right back where you started from where you left off before the error occurred.
