Great ease of use and really reliable
What do you like best about the product?
My SQL is a great way for us to set up a SQL database on a server. It makes it great to connect to our website and make HTTP requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does require you to mostly interact online which is annoying
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to store lots of information on in MySQL such as user data, company information, preferences and similar.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great way to make and use an SQL Database. It has a great UI and a great user experience to those who aren't experts and who have had a lot of experience.
Easy to Deploy and Use
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who isn't a networking professional, I was able to get MySQL setup on an Ubuntu server by myself and with only minimal assistance from online resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. What is there to dislike about a free product that is easy to use and an industry standard?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a fairly easy web solution and needed a LAMP system in order to setup Wordpress. By being able to install Wordpress (which doesn't happen without MySQL easily) it let me setup a professional blog for a writer friend. And it didn't take me 20 years to get it all setup. The easiest part was getting MySQL set up.
MySQL Review
What do you like best about the product?
My SQL is a relation database and is open source unlike other RDBMS which are very expensive. It is very easy to use and the installation and setup is also very easy. MySQL also provides stored procedure and trigger which is very helpful in case you want to perform some action on a specific time or you want to perform some action on meeting some criteria.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL database is not able to handle when the data size grows and it impact the query performance drastically. As it is open source so the support provides is very minimal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL we are using to storing relation entity of our application. MySQL is easy to use and there are lot of connector available based on the kind of technologies you are using
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MySQL database is very useful when your application is not very huge and you have a data in GB and not in tera or petabyte. As it is open source it helps in local setup and if you are doing any POC for some application we can use it directly without worrying about the cost.

The UI is great and easy to work on. It didn't take me any extra time to understand how to run queries on it

It is huge software that requires extra time to start when overloaded

What do you like best about the product?
The organisation of all the tables and the views that resides in the MySQL DB.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface in not too friendly to handle the errors when we write the queries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We store a lot of infrastructural data within MySQL and use joins and views to query the data and analyse it business decisions.
Dependable database
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manipulate and review with readily available scripts such as PHPMyAdmin as well via command lines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scripts are not upgraded in a timely fashion sometimes leading to command line input needing more time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage of customer data and all aspects of the company database.
Ubiquitous Easy to use DB system
What do you like best about the product?
I like that MySQL is so widely available. I have been able to use multiple various hosting providers and they all allow the use of MySQL. It has made learning this tool to be very beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
For MySQL the major drawback I've seen is that it doesn't appear to have the enterprise support that Oracle DBs do. For many smaller companies MySQL tends to be the go-to, however for larger enterprises they prefer the strong backing from Oracle
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL is being used primarily to be our database system for various small business enterprises I've been attached to. It has also been a great "prototyping" database to prove out a system before we migrate to a system like Oracle DB (if necessary)

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is globally renowned for being the most secure and reliable database management system.The data security and support for transactional processing that accompany the recent version of MySQL can greatly benefit any business, especially if it is an eCommerce business that involves frequent money transfers.
What do you dislike about the product?
it has a troubling tendency to come grinding to a halt if it’s forced to deal with too many operations at a given time. This relatively poor performance scaling means that anyone with high concurrency levels should probably look into an alternative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i am dealing identity and access management with MySql, and the benefits are

What do you like best about the product?
free, stable, got lots of stuff about it online when you got stuck to a problem. i like how simple it is to install.
being backed by oracle is a huge plus for me that it aint going anywhere soon i just hope oracle wont find a way to monetize it sooner than later

it used to be part of xampp which is now replaced by mariasb, its fine though coz i only use xampp on my development environment

keep it simple as it is and keep it free.
Great IDE
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it has the newer interface. MySQL itself is great because of the open source environment and this IDE makes the transition from SQL smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is comparatively slow, and memory issues after bigger commands are executed. .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Database management, client satisfaction, big data analysis. Amazing platform to generate models.
