Talk about an amazing free product
What do you like best about the product?
The price and ease of use! This thing doesn't have some of the automated featers like MS SQL but it does rock!
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing some automation features. Not the friendliest gui.

This database is easy to learn and links to many different other programs as both a backend or front end tool.

It does have some limitations as to how many lines can be used.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very simple to be able to work and deploy a solution quickly. The software to interact with the database, mysql workbench in my case has been very useful to perform all tasks, both programming and administration and is open source!
What do you dislike about the product?
When you have to work with large volumes of data the performance is not very good and tends to take a long time, which is not very efficient or reliable against a business solution. I'm talking about MySQL version free
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At this moment we have functioning meteorological stations that send data through a raspberry pi to a database in MySQL
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The work area where MySQL will be used must be analyzed well, since for large volumes of data the performance is not the best. Scalability is not so simple either. For small applications it works very well

It is free and the community is very helpful. You can find lots of tutorials about it.

There is not an official tool that I can use. I have to use 3rd party one. Some like Microsoft SQL has their own.

I've used MySQL for almost all my web applications. It is free, quick, and easy to scale.

It is free and open, therefore it is quite affordable. It is very well-known and has a large support community to resolve any doubts. Its installation is quite simple on any operating system. It integrates with the vast majority of programming languages without issues.

There is little that displeases me. Sometimes in terms of efficiency, there are other professional products, such as Oracle Database, that surpass it, but at a higher cost.

Mainly as a database for web pages. Although also as auxiliary databases for testing, simple programs, or storing data and configurations of mobile apps.

I have no problem with this tool, it is one of the best database managers.

in our organization, it is the system used by all websites, both corporate and for clients and third parties. It is the system used by the main content managers like DRUPAL, JOOMLA, and WORDPRESS.
