What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is very easy to use and to understand. I first encountered it in school and later used it for practicing SQL at home. I have used it many times over and over again. It has the same syntax as SQL and other languages similar to that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not dislike MySQL at all. I have never had a problem with it at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wrote queries with MySQL that involved retrieveing customer data/information and also orders.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used the free version of MySQL. It has a ease to configure database in number of ways. Moreover, it can be accessed across multiple platforms. It has large support for troubleshooting available hence great for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are proprietary. The software is free but user has to pay for support when needed. Does not support data partitions. A server is needed for each set of data files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built data stores for hospital management system.
Open Source Database
What do you like best about the product?
Mysql has one paid version and one free version. It works with any operating system (Linux, Windows, Mac, etc.) and can be managed with multiple different programs, that way you can use the one that suits you according to the type of Database you are using.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback that I find is that particularly the first occasion when it is introduced and arranged is important to have at least information to make a right design and without issues, as it offers numerous choices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main database for different open source based programs on linux servers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend the utilization of the program, but you need to relax, without scramble and make a right setup of the program since it will profit considerably later , or else, it is likely that you will experience numerous issues as it has a wide range of alternatives to configure.
Very reliable DB Manager
What do you like best about the product?
I use it on linux, but it can be used on any OS without any problems. It doesnt use much resources compared to other DB Managers, allowing you to install it on a wide array of computers / servers. Internet its full of documentation, FAQ, Q&A with almost all the information and solutions for any problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be easy to get lost on all the features it provides, requiring a minimum of previous knowledge for making a good use of it. If you requiere some specific features, you need to pay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage various linux servers at work, and I found MySQL to be the best option to work with them. Thanks to it being compatible with any OS, I havent had any problem configuring and running them. We use it mainly for web applications that require a DB
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a good option, but you need to have some knowledge before starting to use it, but thanks to being Open Source you can find lots of informations around the internet.

First most liked thing is Opensource and second one is easy to use. Very user-friendly database

Nothing but require some improvement in GUI designee

This is good opensource products so nothing for recomandation
Flexible scalable and admin friendly database
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up a database and get it running quickly, while still being flexible enough to modify at a later date, if you need to add more complexity, relationships, etc. It just works and setting up a connection to a local host or a remote server is super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI doesn't always work the way you'd expect it too, which is kinda strange but remedied by using SQL statements to do it. Not a big deal but its strange that this happens. I've run into it when dropping tables, it sometimes ignores the command when you do it through the drop down menus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as a back end to a web hosted app, and sometimes to test JPA based schema's and changes to existing databases before I push to my repository branch.
Reliable and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The configuration is easy and it uses the same syntaxes that other databases use so no need to learn a new language. Pretty simple to use and the interface is user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I worked mostly on Oracle databases this does not support large databases

We have used mysql to support our in-house application where we maintain database of student information for a client.
It was very easy to understand

The software was easy to install and easy to use. It is also password protected

While downloading you get password and if you donot copy at that time then it is very hard to retrieve it again

Storing large amount of data under different schema
Currently MySQL is our first option for database webservers
What do you like best about the product?
Reliability, community, documentation and support. Although in this moment MariaDB is an open source fork for Mysql is not supporting all features as json fields.
What do you dislike about the product?
The project is no longer open source since Oracle got it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use MySQL as standalone and Galera cluster mode.

What do you like best about the product?
The default before starting any project. Excellent community support and a slew of features. One of the best performing and parent to almost all other opensource SQL database solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The command prompt can be improved as it is in MariaDB. The clustering options are limited.

We use MySQL as our main database for our web applications.
