MySQL, a highly recommended database management tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I value most about MySQL is its speed and versatility when it comes to being installed on different operating systems. The great connectivity, security, and speed that this manager offers is highly recommended for managing databases on the network. When starting out, its easy configuration gives MySQL an added versatility. I am very happy using this application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, the good it offers on one hand is counterbalanced by its poorly documented (although increasingly so) utilities. It's not what you would call intuitive, so at first it's difficult to adapt and progress with this tool, therefore it may not be a suitable tool for those who do not want to make an effort to learn more technical things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work managing databases, accessing and modifying them, and MySQL allows me to access these databases effectively and quickly, which are often not on nearby servers but thousands of kilometers away. I have realized that it is a very powerful tool that anyone who wants to delve into the world of Big Data should learn.

Mysql is a free database manager system: this is the main feature and probably the reason why people choose it. In addition, it has the basic features that can be requested from a database management system: creation of tables, query system, creation of indexes, triggers, stored procedures, views, ...
It is multiplatform so you can install it in any operating system.
Oracle is the company that is behind this product and also provides you with a graphical utility to be able to administer the service; it's called Mysql Workbench.

What do you dislike about the product?
The performance is not very good if you have tables with millions of records. In this case, other types of solutions could be a better idea. Otherwise you have to optimize your database schema too much and create indexes in an intelligent way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use MySQL as a database manager for the persistence of data of all the web applications I do. It gives me the service I need and I do not require more features. I am using it for many web application projects for many years and I have never had problems. It is not the best solution if you have an IoT project in your hands with a lot of data flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your project is not for a very large company is very likely to serve you. Being free, I recommend that you try it and decide if it suits your needs.

Powerful tool for data management

My overall experience with MySQL is great. The only one thing I dislike about MySQL is that when I used Workbench as a user interface, it would quit accidentally sometimes.
