What do you like best about the product?
Scalability: MySQL is suitable for both small and large businesses because it can manage a lot of users and data.
Security: It provides a range of security features, such as access control, encryption, and auditing.

What do you dislike about the product?
My experience suggests that MySQL is not the greatest option for managing complex or extensive amounts of data.
For applications that need to handle data in real-time, MySQL is not the ideal option.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL is solving many of my problems as i use Java for web development, and it is best for crud applications.
It also benefited me as i also updated a php website that used MySQL database, and using it was to easy and fast.

Very easy to use, and all information is easily present on the web, which makes it most widely used.

Some SQL syntaxes are different, and one has to search on the web to make it work.
Huge about of data sometimes makes it slow to insert, update and select.

Using it to store client data and integrate with IntelliJ to get and store all data using schema based architecture.

Correcting errors and searching for bugs is usually a headache when I have large lists.

Low cost and Oracle supported which helps a lot.

Lacks features - would like to see more enhancements around thread pooling and replication.

We shard our database and Mysql works pretty well for that

What do you like best about the product?
It is effortless to get started with. As it is a very popular database management system with a lot of users, it is very easy to find help from others if you get stuck somewhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that are difficult, it doesn't support Arrays as a data type which is very problematic. Also, sometimes it takes a lot of time to start up if the databases are huge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me by providing a structured way to store data and query it with a simple query language. There is a lot of ORM for MySQL in almost every language, which makes it easy to query databases.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is a robust framework for providing database services. Its easy syntax and amazing architecture are very beneficial. Moreover, Oracle also provides a comfortable GUI-based MySQL workbench, where we can perform the querying.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say most of the users will not be able to find any cons of this product. It is commendable as far as database services are concerned as it easy to use and also offers great performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our project, we were having multiple modules which were written in different programming languages (Java, Python, Unix script etc). Here, the connectivity features that MySQL provides helped us to connect to the database without any hassles.

Easy integration between wide range of softwares. very fast in fetching data. This makes me very compatible with our needs and was the main reason for our adaptation.

Some error messages are different to understand and take very much time to find the solution.

With it stability, we are easy to handle our billing transactions and generate the reports easily.

when there is a huge amount of data that needs sorting, this can be done easily by MySQL, like RANK, Highest salary, ORDER by ASC or DESC

Flexible & Opensource which includes the experience and knowledge of experts, It is easy to understand, learn, and use which helps individuals to grow as a DB resource. MySQL also provides high security and various management tools, which make DB management easy. It is highly scalable as per business requirements and size.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not plenty of in-built functions to use. To develop a utility multiline lines of code are required, whenever most of the DB platforms now provide easy-to-use in-built functions and utilities.

High performance, low cost, expert experience & advice as open source, and security make it very useful for low-budget companies. It saves cost and provides better opportunities to grow.
MySQL an easy Journey
What do you like best about the product?
It is very simple to work on. Easy to use. If you know a normal english then you can easily work on Mysql. Writing queries and getting output in tabular format is great

What i dislike is not really a dislike, i just think this shole be developed better. Replication should have made easier to implement and logs status should be more informational. Which i think is lag in Mysql

I started my carrer with msql. It is easyspecially for the begginers. Easy to use. Easy to install, easy to configure. Infact there was a small database which runs quite smooth on mysql
