MySQL is the easiest database system to setup
What do you like best about the product?
It installs and sets up the database system thru a wizard interface. You just need to answer and select each available options and it install and setup the sql database system on any PC or PC Server. You can create a database, modify or delete it easily thru its GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The bad thing is if the MySQL installation fails, you have to uninstall the whole MySQL first and restart the computer. To do a clean install again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its great for organizing games on a game site. Which allows for fast searching and locating of a specific game.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MySQL is more easier to setup and work with than MS SQL.
MySQL is most powerful tool for reporting as well as in-depth analysis
What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion, of all the SQL languages, MySQL and its database is the easiest, most well-documented, and efficient. Besides the lack of window functions, MySQL's data structure is incredibly fast. Its range of power is great for both basic reporting all the way up to in-depth analysis on large data sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like MySQL's lack of window functions. Window functions are critical for large dataset analysis, and when I need them, I do move to my Redshift database instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our BI tool connects to our MySQL database, and from that, we are able to constantly make business decisions and visualize data on a daily basis for our KPIs as well as configuration analysis.
Powerful, Fast, Efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent open source database. Easy to build and very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It serves the purpose I need it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've implemented systems that used it in the past, but more recently needed it to provide more efficient queries than I could execute from an Oracle system I use by building it locally.
A great interface to access your data
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to edit/update data live in a visual environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The latency in obtaining data - which is a combination of internet speed and the platform itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing customer, vendor, and store data that is often in need of small edits.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is definitely worth the effort to get training on this to be more efficient in effective.
Love MySQL!
What do you like best about the product?
Long ago we used to be an all Microsoft SQL shop, but it got expensive upgrading to the latest versions all the time, and having to dedicate a server to running it got expensive, as we often had to upgrade the server too. It was just big and clunky. By comparison, MySQl was inexpensive, svelte, and easy to use and deploy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tools and automated database management tools are not as strong as MS SQL
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Web based databaaes, low cost. Easy deployment
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out! Inexpensive to deploy, both windows and linux versions
Great Software

Easy to use and efficient for small and medium databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very good with large scale databases, There exist better options for larger databases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
database management for website and servers. Storing of customer information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Nice DB Tool for small and medium businesses.
Mysql
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is easy to connect to phpmyadmin but also includes a commandline
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not really scalable for enterprise use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pulling backup of database backends for websites
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's still great for a lamp stack despite the popularity of lisadb and postgres
An excellent product, easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Without a doubt it is the easy and simple use. Powerful data manager There is already a lot of information on the internet and support for doubts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations of the software. When you think about managing large amounts of data, it is no longer functional.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a tool that can be used quickly, very lightly (Mb weight) and very easy to obtain supports those business needs in which a data and information manager is needed that is easy to connect to other databases, not importing if the databases are with other brands of database managers.
