Excellent powerful SQL database
What do you like best about the product?
The performance of MySQL is excellent and is useful across different operating system platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times the SQL commands are specific to MySQL and not portable to other SQL platforms.

Realible, straightforward setup, fast, intuitive, from basic to advance its definitely one of the best sql engines you can choose.

When comparing to “heavy” database engines, like nosql, it lacks some performance to deal with bigdata sets.

It basically supports everything, from a website to an app.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL Easy Learning, Simple Coding, Simple GUI. Many Recommended For Using AIO (All in One) Tools, Optimize Query Cache Easy, Classic Coding like using CMD, Fixed Lengeth (Static) and FREE if not commercial.

MySQL with Expensive PAID if Commercial, some time Migration More Difficult.

I can solved with website managed with MySQL, easy to use, still popular database & still using from 2010 to 2016 handling with mysql. and now i'm currently using MySQL Workbench Community.

Best open source relational database I have ever used
What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is the best, simple, fast, popular open source and freely available database for software developer. MySQL supports almost all types of programming languages. MySQL query syntax is easier to learn compared to all other databases. It also support highly complex and advanced SQL queries. MySQL provides the indexing and hashing for faster reading of data. It is being maintained by Oracle. MySQL has good documentation. MySQL provides a tool Workbench to write queries and look in the table data.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL doesn't support complex data types like: JSON and ARRAY. MySQL doesn’t support common table expression. MySQL does not support SQL check constraints that is used to validate data stored in a column. MySQL doesn’t support full outer joins. It is costly to increase connections limit in MySQL
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I are working on a recruitment drive management software. I use MySQL database to store all my dynamic application data like user, college, company, recruitment drive, student etc. MySQL provides easy to use interface to make db queries to read, update, create and deletion of data. I got benefit using MySQL in terms of reliability, speed, easy to use interface, simple query syntax and support of joins. MySQL provides easy to understand documentation to understand its insights to get the full benefit from it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend MySQL to all entry level and experienced developers, administrators and engineers. It support all types of basic and enterprise level needs of storing relational data. MySQL is easily adaptable with all programming languages.

I think that the documentation needs to be better and when I moved up to Mac OS it isn't working so well.

MySQL is as yet the most utilized database for my organization. We utilize it as the fundamental database for our applications and it is doing great job since 2014.

Try to use it, to learn it. It's not so difficult as you think. Each time when I am stuck with a query I do a click on the help button and there I can find a lot of support.

This tool is very useful so no dislikes as such for MySQL. MySQL is not as mature as other relational database management systems.

MySQL is designed with a focus on the Web, Cloud and Big Data. It helps me to analyze data and normalize tables and creating ERD's. Accessing data becomes easier and faster.
