Great experience with rocket.chat
What do you like best about the product?
Facilitates collaboration among team members by reducing response time
What do you dislike about the product?
The organization of the platform is a bit confusing to me. Sometimes I get lost in the discussions and channels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a business still in the early stage, so after we started using Rocket.Chat, team communication has significantly improved as the platform allows us to structure all communication in a way that no information is lost or topics get confused.

1- Complexity for Non-technical Users : it is a highly customizable Platform, may have a steeper learining curve for non technical Users

Rocket.Chat have solving some challenges and providing Customizable ,centralised and secure team Communications platform . Rocket.Chat benifitas to users by improving team collaborations increasing productivity and offering the flexibility to adpat the platform to their specific requirement and Workflow

What do you like best about the product?
Usamos a versão gratuita, hospedada em uma infraestrutura nossa, com as imagens e anexos no S3, centralizamos todas as conversas e definições do time em um único lugar, com histórico de tudo, sem apagar nenhuma mensagem antiga (ao contrário de outros concorrentes na versão gratuita). A forma como o Rocket.Chat cria os grupos e os gerencia ajuda muito na organização do trabalho. As integrações facilitam muito isso, inclusive os webhooks são simples de usar quando uma integração não existe ainda. Pode ser acessado pelo app Desktop, Web ou Mobile. As atualizações não quebram funcionalidades e as modificações são bem detalhadas nas release notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Uma parte das funcionalidades está disponível somente na versão paga, porém para pequenas empresas a versão gratuita é suficiente. A quantidade de configurações e customizações do aplicativo são enormes e isso demanda paciência e muita cautela pra entender tudo.

Centralizou a comunicação do time interno. Organizando as demandas em um único lugar onde todos tem acesso, evitando criar nichos de informação onde as conversas se perdem em chats privados. Adicionar e remover pessoas da organização sem depender de comunicadores de uso pessoal.

Rocket.Chat is open source, implying that developers can continuously submit their contributions.

What do you dislike about the product?
Even though there is a free subscription, one has to get a paid subscription to remove limitations to strategic routes and endpoints.
Novices will take quite some time to learn how to make the most of it.

Rocket. Chat makes it easy for our team to communicate internally, which improves team cohesion. The omnichannel makes it easy to route service requests directly to the corresponding department speeding up the resolution of support requests.

GREAT APP TO COMMUNICATE WITH CO-WORKERS INSIDE THE OFFICE
What do you like best about the product?
I used this app before in my previous job at one of the call center companies in my place. This app was able to help me communicate with my co-workers inside the office since we are not allowed to use cellphone devices
What do you dislike about the product?
This app is very secure to the point that I still have to ask for approval from the admin before I send the message to my co-worker. It sometimes loads slowly, so i can't use it right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rocket.chat app helps me communicate directly with our Admins and manager if I have questions regarding the process of our job. This app makes it easier to communicate with people inside the office.
"A Perfect Chat Support for the Visitors"
What do you like best about the product?
Rocket.Chat is too good at connecting with visitors. The easy integrations with the platforms like Slack, teams and other saas help a lot for easy communications. Old chat history on the application helps a lot when required.
What do you dislike about the product?
I never felt any dislike for the Rocket.Chat, but I feel it would be a great application if the UI is more simple and quick. I felt difficulty when tried to integrate with DevOps. somehow, I've made it with their support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used other platforms before but this Rocket.Chat is good at the pricing when compared with the Market price. The support team is available and the solutions are real quick than I expect.

It allowed our team of technical staff of all ages, backgrounds, and preferences to use a consolidated platform with existing protocols and user accounts which was a great bridge to mature our understanding of how to work remotely as a team.

It was lacking some collab features that would have been nice but it has grown and improved a lot.

It offers public channels, private channels, direct messaging, integration capabilities through Webhooks, SMS functionality, and a chat widget for websites. The setup process is straightforward, whether using Docker or Ubuntu Snap

Due to Rocket.Chat not being included as a standard app option for one-click installation on most web hosts, setting it up manually becomes necessary. This is in contrast to Slack and Microsoft Teams, which are more readily available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. However, the process of getting Rocket.Chat operational typically demands a higher level of expertise and understanding. Additional steps and configuration are typically involved before achieving a fully functional setup.

Rocket.Chat serves as our human support tool. Our initial customer or lead inquiries are handled by a chatbot. However, when customers or leads require human assistance, we redirect them to Rocket.Chat, where our sales team is readily available. One notable advantage of utilizing Rocket.Chat is its cost-effectiveness per user, as opting for an alternative tool would likely result in significantly higher expenses.
