Easy to setup and highly reliable for anything to do on reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to setup, and very reliable for reporting applications. I use it on the AWS Cloud and pretty happy with the performance and maintainability.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may not be suitable for large scale data operation and storage.

Data processing for reporting and back end data manipulation and storage.

no cuenta con un soporte en linea o telefonico si no con un foro donde responderan tu dudas.

conectar algunos sistemas operativo con un solo administrador de base de datos seguro confiable y gratuito
almacenamiento e la informacion de forma segura y rapida anteriormente habia mucha perdida de informacion ya que los antiguos adminitradores de base de datos fallaban o tenian perdida de informacion

es una buena herramienta para la administracion de base de datos de gran dimension pues falla con base de datos de poca informacion pero recomiendo porque la utilizo para mi sistema informatoc y llevo un buen control de ellos
es un administrador de base de datos completo con multiples herramientas que no serviran a la hora de configurar de crear y de registrar los distinto tipo de datos a su vez cuenta con multiple servicios de seguridad y encriptado de informacion que le demuestra al usuario que su informacion esta segura y confiable

What do you like best about the product?
it's a very good database management system. it has great features and flexible options, even though the syntax is strict enough to provide correct security and reliability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess it could use some easier user management queries but it's ok.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we needed a 100% reliable database system for our semi-cold data. so we went with the most reliable of all, even if we may sacrifice some performances.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
know your sql, and not just mysql. use the documentations and the latest verions.

can be somewhat difficult to install initially

What do you like best about the product?
It is an open source tool. The best thing about PostgreSQL is that it's a really good tool for complex data-models. It's a one stop solution for almost all sort of data problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installation and configuring it is a little challenging. It's Usability and learning curve is pretty high. psql command line will seem foreign compared to other sql queries and it needs a cheat sheet to learn and memorize the commands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves all sort of data problems, data storage, data extraction, manipulation, etc. It has really good functions for data storage and manipulation. It is best when used against complex data models.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It has a high learning curve but, since it's open source, therefore, it has a huge online community to support. Once you acclimatize with the command line for Postgres, you can solve any large data problems easily.

my compony is using this database from last 10-12 years. very easy to use, provides security by default. Provides easy setup.
