OLAP Database Management System
What do you like best about the product?
Open-source relational database management system and easier to handle and simple database architecture compare to other database base engine. It also supports NoSQL features. It's also easier to implement clustering and replication of the database, and migration to the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Table Indexing, A found it bit complicated compared to Oracle and MS SQL

Database management system for Online Analytical Processing. Variety of features for storing data such as JSON, NOSQL, ARRAY etc, and easy to integrate with other systems using JDBC, connection, a faster-database engine for querying bigger tables

Its free, good for wordpress, but it really let me down with an important project

Postgres is a great DB, allow you to do everything that others DB, but additional I found I can use pg_notify to send some kind of broadcast notification, this is great and an option to communicate to others software

sometime the backup/restore process is not 100% good, some issues restoring DB

we use postgres as our main DB for our software

before to use postgres, download and test the DB check if the all the datatypes are correct for your project, and please check the backup/restore process

Free database manager, with only download and install you can have the world of databases in full, with the best options of any proprietary driver, it is easy to install especially in free operating systems, it is ideal for database relational data, in terms of support, the best ally is the community of people who help others through forums, it is compatible with several graphic tools if they do not like to use the console, configuring a cluster is super simple and on the Internet the information works wonderfully with large databases.

If you use postgres by console and not with any graphical tool such as pgadmin or dbeaver you must have intermediate knowledge, you may notice some slowness in massive insertions but this is related to the good design of the database

I work daily in the management of postgres databases, used the console for backup and restore issues since they are much faster
