What do you like best about the product?
Joomla have a lot of flexibility with its powerful development framework and smart to use cms system. You can also build easy apps ( extensions ) with many Joomlas CCKs example https://www.seblod.com/ or free Joomla component builder https://www.joomlacomponentbuilder.com/ Its also easy to have design templates/frameworks for rapid website building example https://www.joomshaper.com/page-builder and where you have a lot of many great large/small extensions example https://www.regularlabs.com/extensions/advancedmodulemanager/tutorial to modify/visulize your system to whatever you like. Joomla is also owned by its community and is 100% free with no encryptation whatsever..
What do you dislike about the product?
Joomla have no commercial marketing and promoting company backing it up with sales, marketing and pr like other CMS that have an owner of the trademark and started this companies like Wordpress, Drupal etc so it can not be sold to anyone though all people that work with Joomla and its contribution will be owned by the community. Joomla have an organisation that protect that right for the community Open Source Matters https://www.opensourcematters.org/
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Your business needs for a blog for many to many users where you want to have better control when your system grows and you want to have 100% control of that future development right from the start without having to change system bcs your business and needs grows. You can test the ACL control here example https://demo-extensions.perfectwebteam.com/administrator/index.php where you can check how you can manage all the control of who can use, view, change etc all content, users etc of all Joomlas components installed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please read and understand how Joomla work to get it right from the beginning bcs its so much stupid pr agains Joomla from its competitors that dont like that Joomla can replace their system and work better.

A robust and adaptable content manager

  • March 23, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The extensions allows you to add a wide variety of functions without writing code, you can have and manage very robust web pages, its interface is friendly, everything is clear and understandable, I can say that it does not require special skills to work with Joomla.
What do you dislike about the product?
The performance begins to be lacking once you start installing add-ons and functions, and other advanced configurations require specialized programming knowledge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the features currently present in Joomla, it is more than enough for my team and for me to develop very secure and fully operational websites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a content manager that is robust and free, this is an ideal option, however, it is convenient to have basic knowledge of web programming.

Terrible for SEO

  • March 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Joomla has tons of customizable options. You can do a lot in the backend that you couldn't on a lot of other sites (at least not without plugins.)
What do you dislike about the product?
For SEO, it's really the best. Between pages and menus and articles, you can never be sure where your SEO is going to be pulled from. SEO plugins don't work well on this site. It's impossible to truly know what's happening to your SEO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Joomla for years to build websites for clients, but when we got into the SEO market, we realized it was time for a switch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If SEO is going to be a major part of your company's future, think again. Joomla might not be the right partner on that journey.

What do you like best about the product?
joomla! It allows me to manipulate and create new templates, modules and global modifications. I can also say that it is one of the most efficient and least inflated CMS, which helps our systems run much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main disadvantage I notice is that there are few developers in the market that offer updated modules and components.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Joomla is a fantastic CMS for our needs at work, as it provides stability, powerful extensions and ease of use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Joomla is an excellent tool that interfaces with your company's network that allows for online applications to be built.

What do you like best about the product?
Joomla is free, open source and user friendly content management service. It is highly customizable and requires minimal expertise in coding. It provides image editing options available too. It has an efficient GUI which helps in managing a large number of articles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Joomla provides limited additional modules. Maintaining all those modules is also hectic and confusing. Data import facility is troublesome too. Some of its layouts are also vulnerable too malware.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Joomla supports all kinds of websites including e-commerce sites. It also provides free video training services. It allows you to change the layout of your website whenever you want.

Would definitely recommend Joomla

  • March 07, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity definitely, as I've used Wordpress prior to Joomla but Joomla just feels like you have much more control of your website. It definitely has so many different options and endless possibilities making it the perfect content management system for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like if there were an option to directly visit the article/page you are currently working on instead of manually having to go to the desired web page. Also, it would be great if you remove the feature which logs you out of Joomla if you're inactive for a few minutes, lost my progress so many times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and fore most content management, adding new articles to the website and lately, we've been integrating other features with the website such as Pardot and automated email responses and it works like a charm!

Joomla- An Open Source Content Management System

  • March 01, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Joomla is an open source platform, allowing you to freely modify code without worrying about licensing fee. It has extensions available for e-commerce so that you can manage your products and content all at one place. It is not much developer-oriented means you don't have to be a developer to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is more complex than Wordpress so it is difficult to incorporate your own design without developer experience. However, using it for content management not need that much time to learn. It has limited marketplace for additional modules and add-ons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, if you are looking for a tool which can easily manage content of your website and you do not have that much experience of development than Joomla is the best choice.
