Simple Content Management

What do you like best about the product?
Its complexity, deep level navigation, sections in sections, categories. It makes no distinction between posts and pages, instead you use articles and modules for your content. Modules are best used for small pieces of content and media.
Great for all sorts of sites, with preference for community sites, eCommerce and portfolio/presentation sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing articles from one site to another is not as easy as with WordPress. There are extensions for it, like J2XML which does a good job, but migrating from one major version to the next can be problematic with respect to third party extensions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the key points of utilizing Joomla as a CMS is that it doesn’t require any specialized technical skills to get help with it. This makes it easy for business clients who don’t know HTML programming or who are less keen on the technical part of the CMS. As an Admin, utilizing Joomla to deal with the site content would be a cakewalk for a nontech-savvy client.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Joomla is quite an easy to use CMS. Joomla! is a great choice for website design and development. There would be no amaze if we have had missed out something about Joomla!

What do you like best about the product?
Joomla is a very professional way to build my company's website.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not user-friendly, despite what Joomla claims to be. I am using it, but I do have a regular "tutor" who helps me with updates, changes and new posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's our web site - visited by hundreds of leads every day. Using LeadLander, they track who's been on our site, where they found us, and how many pages they've visited.

Make this more user-friendly.

Multiple add ons for my dev to add into it. Every request seems doable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The backend looks old, functionality might be lacking sometimes. Requires work around.

What do you like best about the product?
Joomla gets the job done. It is a basic website development tool, and will get your content on the page.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is clunky, confusing, and doesn't have a lot of support features. It is not an intuitive system at all, and is very difficult to use. I consider myself very tech savvy, but I struggled a lot in learning to use Joomla, and there are some features I still don't use because they are difficult to learn and I don't have the time to study them online, if they are even described there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for our company's intranet. It is a basic service, but we are looking to move to Sharepoint or WordPress, which are much easier to manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely suggest going with another product if you can.

What do you like best about the product?
Facilidad de uso – WordPress es significativamente más fácil de usar, especialmente para los no-desarrolladores.
Extensibilidad – Las comunidades de temas y plugins de terceros de WordPress facilitan la extensión de WordPress sin la necesidad de un desarrollo personalizado. Algunas personas incluso afirman que, con las extensiones correctas, WordPress puede hacer cualquier cosa que Drupal pueda hacer.

No es un servicio gratuito: existen otras versiones sin coste, como WordPress.com u otras herramientas utilizadas para la creación de contenidos (creadores web online gratuitos, por ejemplo), aunque estas también están más limitadas, lógicamente.
Requiere de un nivel de conocimientos medio: WordPress no es una plataforma excesivamente compleja como otras, pero tampoco es tan intuitiva como los creadores web Drag and Drop, por ejemplo. En cualquier caso, tras un breve periodo de toma de contacto, el usuario sabrá desenvolverse con bastante soltura por la plataforma.
Aunque existen plugins que añaden funcionalidades comerciales, como WooCommerce, WordPress no suele ser la opción favorita para tiendas online de cierta complejidad y tamaño. En esos casos, se suele preferir Magento, OpenCart o Prestashop, entre otros.
Flexibilidad de diseño limitada: aunque hay plantillas para todos los gustos, si estás buscando un diseño completamente a medida, será necesario que contrates los servicios de un diseñador web, al que podrás transmitir tus propias ideas para que pueda crear una web 100% a medida. No obstante, existe una solución intermedia, que es la de contratar a un diseñador web para que cree un sitio web a medida pero basado a su vez en WordPress, de modo que el diseño lo puedan retomar más fácilmente otros diseñadores en el futuro o incluso el propio usuario si cuenta con unos conocimientos mínimos sobre WordPress.

What do you like best about the product?
uno de los mejores gestores de contenido para elaboración de sitios web, un panel de control muy completo. programación php sencilla aunque complicada de comprender si quieres editar algun fichero. por lo demás es una de las mejores opciones para el desarrollo web con gestor de contenido.
What do you dislike about the product?
se han quedado anticuados, los menus son poco intuitivos, y frente a otras opciones carece de muchas opciones y configuraciones. además hay muchos plugins que no son compatibles con versiones anteriores, y a la hora de actualizar a nuevas versiones es muy complicado. incluso siendo mejor rehacer de nuevo la web con una plantilla y un motor mas actual.

What do you like best about the product?
Permite desarrollar cualquier plataforma web de manera muy intuitiva, hay gran cantidad de material, plantillas, modulos y complementos gratuitos al alcance de todos que permiten su condifguración y uso con apenas pocos pasos y conocimientos.
What do you dislike about the product?
A veces el soporte es algo escaso y se depende mucho de la comunidad para avanzar. Muchos módulos gratuitos están desfasados y el SEO no es gran cosa.

Puedes crear cualquier entorno web que necesites, existen multitud de módulos y componentes gratuitos y una enorme comunidad que ofrece ayuda y apoyo al desarrollo de manera gratuita.

What do you like best about the product?
Joomla is a very versatile content manager. Although its modular operation will make it difficult to fit everything together at first, it will later become a tool with a multitude of possibilities. Best of all, you don't need to be an expert to keep the entire manager and modules up to date. Its update system works correctly, and you will be able to update without fear of losing your website's capabilities. The general modular operation will allow you to design every detail of the website without having to modify the code.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its design by modules, although versatile, will make the learning curve slope, since to configure the same module you must access different options and parts of the panel, although it allows for greater customization, it is necessary to understand well how the system works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main requirement is that it must be free of charge, and it is. With the wide range of customization you can make an authentic and personalized website to what you need without it looking like other hundreds.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good choice, with a great community behind it, to at least consider.
