Best CMS templates
What do you like best about the product?
Joomla's community is very active. There are lots of addons / plugins created by different users and it is easy to find what you need. Same applies to Joomla templates. You will find a template to every subject you desire.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often there are problems when using too many different plugins. They clash in their dependencies and it might take some time when a bug appears on your website and you have to find its origin.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Joomla offers a great user management. You can create user group that work on specific parts on your website simultaneously without interfering each other.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start by using an easy template and do not use too many plugins at the same time.

What do you like best about the product?
Once set up, it's easy to create new articles.

Not very flexible in the way we want our website to function. We're in the process of moving away from Joomla.

Too Technical and not so user-friendly.
User Navigation not friendly. Can be difficult managing and understanding Extensions vs Plugins (System) and Templates. I get lost everytime.

Some features are much more complicated for me and I need our Lead Tech to assist me with certain features I want to add.

We are getting our business name out there and creating more followers. We have customers who have called because they found our website and it's easy to use.

Joomla has some great features for website content. You should know HTML, but it's not necessary to use this program.

Decent Software but Updates Are Annoying
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty simple once you have it set up and have it all formatted. It's pretty simple layout and you can navigate it pretty easily. It works well and it adaptable and runs fast, isn't slow at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been using Joomla for years and while it worked well for us as a small business, as we've grown and wanted to add more to our website, it's struggled. There are always new updates and changes we have to make to keep our website looking the same and its difficult to make big changes to the format of our website. Its a good base for our website, but it's not user friendly and we often have to ask for help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our digital platform is based off of our website so it's become a pretty vital piece of our company. It allows us to reach people nationally and help bring in clients who may not catch our commercials or see our ads in the newspaper. It helps us communicate on a larger scale
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have someone who knows how to code and format things correctly. We had some trouble figuring this all out so we had to get outside support to do it. PLay around with the site, but also have a plan for what you want.

What do you like best about the product?
Joomla is easy to setup and manage. It has a huge community and most features (such as plugins and extensions) are free. Furthermore, due to it's ease of use, one can focus more on content and SEO, rather than coding.

Just as most other content management systems, Joomla has it's issues with security and vulnerabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just as many other content management platforms, Joomla is extremely user-friendly and easy to use. It's also completely free to start using, so you will not need big investments to get started.

It's one of the leading content management systems in the world, so giving it a try will surely be a worthy experience. You'll be able to use this platform easily regardless if you are a beginner or an advanced user.
For someone who doesn't know code, Joomla is not super intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we have a cost-effective way to handle content management for our documentation site and corporate website. As a writer, I can get in and make changes with out always needing to contact our designer to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Joomla just doesn't seem that easy to use. Formatting can be a massive pain; that's why I say that you should know html really well. However, even when our designer, who knows html, tries to solve certain issues, it can take her a long time to figure out what's wrong. The interface isn't very friendly, and the search function isn't very powerful or accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We maintain two websites on Joomla. I'm not sure what benefits we've realized. We successfully maintain the sites, but I feel like another solution would probably be better for us. I'd like more flexibility in formats and better ease-of-use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you have the chance to test the product in a sandbox, if that's possible. Try to find out how using it really feels.
