Powerful, secure and full featured
What do you like best about the product?
Joomla 4.0 provides the most mature full-featured open source content management system on the market. With a focus on ease of use, security, accessibility, and affordability, it is hard to beat.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to its flexibility and range of options, Joomla has a slightly longer learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used Joomla to build personal and client websites for 15 years. As a product, it has evolved to be one of the most solid website builders available - suitable for websites of all kinds.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Joomla has many built-in features and functions that often require extra plugins for other CMSs. In addition, there are many add-ons and plugins available to extend Joomla, usually priced very affordability.

It's open source and an established software with a community. It's worth demoing if you are evaluating a CMS system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's robust, but the structure and the way to implement features are geared towards developer, not really non-coders. It was not intuitive.

Easy to use for non-programmer who need to build a site quickly, I am not a programmer but used Joomla to build a website fairly quickly, lots of drag and drop, and utilities to tap into

was not supported by many browsers at the time I used it. Was difficult to set the rights and access level. Wasn't easy to create an access to new users, but again I had no experience prior to this

wanted to build a website that had sign-in requirements, manage user contents and comments, also, users had a market place in addition to being able to bid on listed items

What do you like best about the product?
It contains multiple tools that streamline the goal of creating websites with ease, the interface is straightforward and high quality, its price is a critical factor for us because the ROI is not a problem with Joomla. Clients have projected their interests with us through Joomla.

Initially, the software could not be customized as I wished; it should be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The idea of building high-impact websites with the features our clients desire is a benefit that has been acquired since we purchased the software. Joomla has given us the privilege to modify our main panel; the marketing and web design department uses it frequently.

One of the most versatile Cms on the market
What do you like best about the product?
I like the functionality of this cms. It's good for academic purposes and also for other projects you may have. It has lots of plug-ins and the support it's also a big plus.

I didn't found anything to dislike for the moment. "Anyway, you may want to consider its power", regarding the type of project you want - versus its competitors

I created the webpage for the company I have, I can sell online, teach or do whatever a good content management system can do. Great for any kind of user, either you are a developer or a rookie
Joomla vs Wordpress -- the winner depends on what you need out of a website
What do you like best about the product?
Joomla is reasonably intuitive to use. The built-in features guide you towards a functional website using tools that are highly configurable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It became clear after the first year of using Joomla that a lot of the plugins you might read about were only available for Wordpress and no Joomla version exists. It wasn't a problem in the vast majority of cases, but I found a few instances where it seemed like the Joomla competitor to big name solutions on Wordpress weren't quite as good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Joomla for me was always used as a "web presence only" website. It let me build what amounted to a semi-complex online business card for my small company. We didn't do any e-commerce.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make SURE you have a third-party website security solution or at the very least a strong website backup tool. If something goes wrong you will want the ability to dial your site back to your last happy version.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of the website that is being developed is fantastic. One can modify the site layouts, the row-column arrangements, the complete UI as per requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is slightly complex to use, especially for 1st-time users. The Admin interface can be a bit overwhelming. But ideally, if you can start with a small and simple web design, try out the modules and displays, then move into more complex designs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing dynamic and feature rich websites is a challenge and Joomla helps one develop such portals with considerable ease and within short time periods. The Joomla extensions library is also pretty exhaustive and one can find pretty much any functionality they want to enable on their website.
I didn't think that building websites could take so little time. What a great surprise!

With Joomla, we have started to enjoy the advantages involved in producing our websites, how to save time, money and adapt them to our needs when necessary. It has taken minimal training to start using it, plus it has an extensive support community and online tutorials. I love that it has many web design templates; it simplifies many things.
What do you dislike about the product?
In terms of functionality, I don't have the slightest complaint, but, visually it is somewhat complex; in short, it is not the most intuitive software compared to others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of use and great flexibility has been helpful for us to get excellent websites, both informative and commercial, for our organization. We have hit the nail on the head with this acquisition; it has benefited my team and me a lot, it has saved time and resources for the organization.

It is one of the best CMS tools on the market; you don't need to be an expert in web design to create attractive sites when you have such a powerful resource like Joomla; it is worth it.
Joomla is a great website CMS!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the speed at which I can create a website, using Joomla. I appreciate the ability to add a variety of free or paid templates, extensions, and components, to make my websites look professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it if Joomla had an automated extension updating capability, as well as better protocols in place to prevent spammers and fake site registrations. Extensions are available to help with these issues, but they are an extra charge, and the good ones can be expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Joomla enables me to create a professional-looking website, for pennies on the dollar, quickly and do it myself. With the exception of purchasing a domain name and hosting fees, I can create an awesome website for next to no investment!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you've never used a CMS to create a website, there will be a learning curve. Just stick with it...it's worth it! If you have any issues or problems, you can usually search for and find a video in Youtube on how to complete an action within Joomla. Save money and do your own website(s)!
