  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can use this operating system for my company, it is perfect for all my network needs, security and stability of my personal data on all PCs with Linux system. There are always updates of improvements in the system, access is unlimited for all users with a single payment, saving money with this function.
Firewall email and security service, with this I configure everything necessary for the stability and security of my system against attacks by viruses or hackers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Red Hat services are very expensive just for one service, having so many functions is difficult to configure everything.
More office programs are missing in this system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this system for network services from a server, I configure the security of my internal network with Firewall, VPN, DDoS attack, email, DNS service to speed up the loading of web pages, printer service, NAS and much more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you know how to use Linux and need security and stability, Red Hat is perfect, although any Linux system is secure and stable, but Red Hat offers more benefits for network services and support.

Great for Enterprise Solutions

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
RHEL is the best to be used in the production environments; the security related to the server is very appreciative and convincing. I have been using RHEL for 2 years and its experience is so far so good.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike when it comes to RHEL, but with prons, there are some crons as well. It is not best for the ones who use miccrosoft products as most of the work you have to do is in the terminal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With RHEL I have solved many problems; I have many scripts installed in my RHEL crontab which are helping me to solve the daily task as automated environments; I received daily reports of the Production server.

Good Linux Distro for Gov't Work

  • September 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Good stable Linux Distro that is on all of the government acceptance lists. It's on the FISMA, FedRamp, FIPS, approved list along with many others. Great for federal projects and other enterprise work. It's a stable and well supported distribution that stays on top of security vulnerabilities. Accrediting agencies and auditors are familiar with Red Hat, leading to quicker ATO's
What do you dislike about the product?
Your paying for opensource software, something you can also get for free. Support can be slow at times (but faster and impressive at other times). But in federal environments you need the support so it's worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Linux OS for federal environments that need to be accredited. Since it's a well know vendor and OS it makes it much easier to get through audits. It's a stable and consistent platform, good for enterprise, mission critical and government applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good stable OS ideal for any enterprise, mission critical or government/federal environments. It works well in secure and accredited environments as well since both the accrediting agency and auditors are familiar with Red Hat, making audits much more efficient and leading to a quicker ATO.
