What do you like best about the product?
Stability: FreeBSD is known for its stability and reliability. It is designed to run for long periods of time without crashing or requiring a reboot.
What do you dislike about the product?
While FreeBSD has a large collection of software available through its ports system, it may not have as many software packages available as some other operating systems, such as Linux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supports advanced virtualization features such as Jails and Zones, which allows for creating and managing isolated, lightweight virtual environments.

Unbelievable TCP/IP performance. Superior to any other systems. We're using with postgresql, nginx server serving millions of users every week. After switching from Red Hat Linux, we've seen significant increase in performance.

FreeBSD is well known for stability and comes with a small footprint. I have been trying many different OS for over 30 years and this is one of the best there is.

Thank you very much for the FreeBSD AMI series!

Though I might be an old dog, I like FreeBSD more than other OSes much for its simplicity and integrity, and from this reason I cannot imagine run nodes without FreeBSD.
And I really appreciate a series of AMIs of FreeBSD, that enable me to use in the AWS.
In addition, this AMI do the freebsd-update in the first boot sequence so that the EC2 entity boot up with the most current (in RELEASE) version. So great.
Also necessary kernel module and ports are loaded by default. Great!
I just do the configuration for my purpose!

They need to put a openBSD AMI on aws. However, the web interface instructions to connect are wrong. To connect to an instance use this command ssh -i ec2-user@.
