JSCAPE Review
What do you like best about the product?
It's a affordable solution to provide a user friendly and flexible enterprise scale infrastructure for file transfer management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am concerned with Oracle's stranglehold on Java licensing. Will they impose fees for server side use of Java with the costs then passed on to the customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JSCAPE is instrumental in the automation of file transfer operations. Many manual tasks were streamlined with the use of triggers and directory monitors to enable processes to be handled without human intervention.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If price is an important consideration, you'll want to give JSCAPE serious consideration. In addition to the purchase costs, the ease of implementation and minimal maintenance make their product a significant part of our infrastructure. In addition, their new WebUI is clean and simple to work use. Their interface for defining triggers has also improved with time and provides flexibility in defining actions that are unique to specific tasks.

A little tricky, but good.
What do you like best about the product?
The web interface is pretty easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a Linux backend, which can be tricky for folks trained in the art of Windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Securely receiving files from clients and encrypting. In the healthcare sphere is is important to have the ability to send and receive files securely. We are able to do this with our clients. It is also very helpful that JSCAPE is able to encrypt the files as they are uploaded so they are encrypted at rest.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a Linux person handy for install and configuration. Have them walk you through updating it, and grabbing logs, and write down notes. Lol.
